We, at Safe Haven, are taking kids ages 5-9 that have been orphaned and/or abandoned. Once they are in the program they can stay until they graduate high school, unless they are adopted out before then. Lord willing, these kids will grow up in the love of the Lord and we will be calling out their God-given destinies. If they can get through High School and get 3 signatures of staff at Safe Haven, our plan is to also sponsor those into college that qualify to the program requirements.
We will also be providing these children education with The School of Tomorrow.
Our expectations for the social worker at Safe Haven is to get out, connect, and help get our name out to the Region XI Social Welfare offices, Barangay Halls, etc. To introduce Safe Haven Children’s Home, letting them know about our services, leaving a brochure....etc.
Regular visits to QRTC & RSCC regularly to check for referrals to be done by the social worker.
Social Workers for Safe Haven will work the case studies of our clients, interview family and relatives, and help come up with a long term plan/goal for the case....
The social worker will be required to keep growth and medical records and help document memories and photo albums for the kids there..
Additional tasks include: Create files of forms she will need (Admittance form, discharge form, case checklist, medical form, vaccine record form, DVC, etc.), Make a template letter request to PSA for requesting birth certificates.
We request that our Safe Haven Social Worker attend any classes, seminars, absnet meetings to help your organisation connect and learn.
Weekly meetings to discuss all that was accomplished over the last week. Thorough notes of any classes seminars, for our records and so the management can read over and learn anything important.
Keeping a daily journal of accomplishments to include any interviews and locations or new contacts on Safe Havens behalf. This is helpful if we need to go back and find out when something happened, or what happened we have record of it all.
