Trent and Amy in the Philippines

Trent and Amy in the Philippines Trent and Amy are missionaries living in the Philippines with their 4 children, whose primary focus is reaching the Philippines with the love of Christ.

In 2004 we received the call to foreign missions. Our lives have never been boring since! Specifically we feel drawn to Asia, Southeast Asia particularly. We began our missionary service in Ban Nam Khem, Thailand. We spent a couple of years serving under an established work of a seasoned missionary family. This seasoned missionary family also happened to be Todd Pruett – Trent’s older brother. Not

only were we honored to meet the practical needs of the people in Ban Nam Khem, but the Lord did great things! Ministry to the poor, Discipleship Training, Outreaches, “The Jungle School”, healing and salvations were all in an ordinary’s day work! It was a painful time as the Lord shut that door of ministry, as we wanted to continue. We all relocated to Northern Thailand to work on the language & it was during that time that we knew our “Training Time” had been completed. Todd & Carrie released us into our destiny. I think deep down in our hearts we would all LOVE to be working together, but we have agreed that is not the Lord’s plan. We moved back to America for fresh vision & FIRE! Once stateside we joined the FIRE Community and ultimately joined with their Missions board. It was also during this time that the Lord opened the door for our family to return to the mission field in Asia. We are currently serving in Davao City, Philippines. Our family is adjusting to the culture, establishing key relationships and learning the language during our first year. Trent is currently serving as Chaplain to a business started by our family friends in Charlotte, North Carolina. We are honored to be shepherding the hearts of the people!!! Isaiah 61 sums up our ministry call! We have had many dreams and visions concerning our call. They all align with Isaiah 61. Lord willing, we look forward to more Salvations, Divine Healing, Discipleship, Ministry to the Poor & being instruments of Justice for the Kingdom to abused & broken people!!! HERE WE ARE LORD – USE US!

We are so proud of this young man for his progress in accepting correction at school and being honest in his daily activities! He walks in joy and conviction to the Lord. We are proud to see so much character being developed in his life ❤️ He is truly a changed person from his first day with us until now ⭐️

It takes a lot to receive after the past and relationships that have brought pain that many of the kids at Safe Haven have experienced. But the Lord makes all things new!

We, at Safe Haven, are taking kids ages 5-9 that have been orphaned and/or abandoned. Once they are in the program they can stay until they graduate high school, unless they are adopted out before then. Lord willing, these kids will grow up in the love of the Lord and we will be calling out their God-given destinies. If they can get through High School and get 3 signatures of staff at Safe Haven, our plan is to also sponsor those into college that qualify to the program requirements.

We will also be providing these children education with The School of Tomorrow.

Our expectations for the social worker at Safe Haven is to get out, connect, and help get our name out to the Region XI Social Welfare offices, Barangay Halls, etc. To introduce Safe Haven Children’s Home, letting them know about our services, leaving a brochure....etc.

Regular visits to QRTC & RSCC regularly to check for referrals to be done by the social worker.

Social Workers for Safe Haven will work the case studies of our clients, interview family and relatives, and help come up with a long term plan/goal for the case....

The social worker will be required to keep growth and medical records and help document memories and photo albums for the kids there..

Additional tasks include: Create files of forms she will need (Admittance form, discharge form, case checklist, medical form, vaccine record form, DVC, etc.), Make a template letter request to PSA for requesting birth certificates.

We request that our Safe Haven Social Worker attend any classes, seminars, absnet meetings to help your organisation connect and learn.

Weekly meetings to discuss all that was accomplished over the last week. Thorough notes of any classes seminars, for our records and so the management can read over and learn anything important.

Keeping a daily journal of accomplishments to include any interviews and locations or new contacts on Safe Havens behalf. This is helpful if we need to go back and find out when something happened, or what happened we have record of it all.
