This coming June 6, 2026, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish - Obrero is inviting couples who have been together for years who wish to sanctify their union before God and His Church through our Amansibado.

To sign up and secure the list of requirements, you may coordinate with us or visit our Parish Office. The Office is open DAILY to assist you from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

With humble hearts marked by ashes, the University community gathered as one in faith to begin the sacred Season of Lent. These captured moments from our 𝐀𝐬𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 reflect not only a tradition we observe, but a commitment we renew—to prayer, repentance, self-discipline, and deeper love for God.

As the ashes were imposed, we were reminded of our human frailty and our constant need for God’s mercy and grace. May this Lenten journey lead us to sincere conversion, strengthened faith, and a spirit ready to serve others with compassion and humility.

This sacred celebration ushers in a time of prayer, reflection, fasting, and spiritual renewal as we prepare our hearts for the Resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday. During this season, we are called to grow closer to God through repentance, self-discipline, acts of charity, and deeper reflection on Sacred Scripture.

As a sign of humility and conversion, the faithful are invited to receive the 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬, during which the priest will say:

The Church observes the following during Lent:

- The faithful are also encouraged to practice voluntary acts of self-denial, charity, and prayer

🌸 A Grace-Filled Celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe 🌸

The Basic Ecclesial Community humbly gives thanks for the successful and meaningful celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe last December 12, 2025, held at the University Gymnasium.

Our celebration opened with a solemn procession at 12:00 NN, where members of the community journeyed together around the campus in prayer and devotion to the Blessed Mother. This was followed by the Holy Mass at 3:00 PM, a sacred moment that strengthened our faith and unity. The day was beautifully capped with an Advent Recollection at 4:30 PM, allowing everyone to reflect, renew their spirits, and prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ.

In remembering the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego, we were reminded of God’s constant presence and His call to live with hope, trust, and love. This celebration truly became a time of spiritual enrichment and communal bonding as we embrace the Advent season.

We sincerely thank all who joined, helped, and prayed with us. Your active participation made this celebration truly special and fruitful.

May Our Lady of Guadalupe continue to guide and protect our community as we walk together in faith.

ADVENT IS ENDING CHRISTMAS IS COMING

As the Advent season comes to an end, the Church moves from a time of waiting to a time of joyful welcome. We have spent these days preparing our hearts through prayer, reflection, and hope, remembering that God is faithful to His promises.

Now the Christmas season is near. This is not only a remembrance of Christ’s birth long ago, but a celebration that God is with us today. Jesus comes to dwell among us, inviting us to receive Him with faith, humility, and love.

As we leave Advent behind, may its spirit remain in us. Let us welcome Christ not only with celebrations, but with lives changed by charity, mercy, and peace. The One we have been waiting for is coming.
