Mary's Little Children Community Davao

Mary's Little Children Community Davao The Mary's Little Children Community is a communion of lay faithful and religious priests and sisters founded by Msgr. Frederick Kriekenbeek in 1998. Samuel V.

Mary's Little Children Community (MLCC)is a communion or family of an association of the faithful and institutes of consecrated life founded by Msgr. Frederick Kriekenbeek, the Father Moderator. Last October 23, the Davao Ministry has been formally installed after the Eucharistic Celebration and "Signing of Commitment to the Ministry" at the Teresian of Daughters of Mary, Matina, Davao City. Its m

embers are the faithful of varying states of life namely, lay Missionaries, Sisters, Nuns, Brothers, Monks and Priests. The community exists according to the vision for which it is called into existence, namely: God glorified in Jesus Christ through the healing and renewal of his Priests and people. This constitutes our vision, which defines the aim or "Charism" of the community, has two-fold aspects, namely:

A) Vertical aspect, that is a definite aspect if Jesus' relationship with his father, giving rise to the MLCC spirituality - to glorify God in the Sacred Liturgy and in charismatic praise and worship; and

B) Horizontal aspect, that is, a special aspect of Jesus' relationship with mankind, manifested in the MLCC apostolate - to promote a more perfect Christian life and undertake by both hierarchic and charismatic gifts a ministry for deliverance, total healing, fullness of life and evangelization. Mission
We commit ourselves in the disposition of Mary at Nazareth, Calvary and Upper Room to total renewal and transformation in Jesus Christ crucified and risen. We hope to attain this by living the Gospel of Christ and partaking of his Eucharistic Body in a community animated by the Holy Spirit and accomplishing it's work and prayer life in view of the healing mission of the father. History
Its history began in the Archdiocese of Cebu, Philippines on the 6th January 1998, the feast of the Epiphany of our Lord, the foundation day, when Msgr. Frederick B. Kriekenbeek, its instrumental founder and first father moderator, accepted the commitment to ministry and to the community of some christian faithful led by its first Elders, namely: Sis. Corazon Melba N. Serafico, Fr. Galias and Fr. Roy Ronald D. Cabradilla. The Community was canonically erected as a public association of the Christian Faithful last 22nd August, 2003 by his Eminence Ricardo J. Cardinal, D.D., for the Archdiocese of Cebu. Jn 12:44-50

Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me. I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness. And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world. Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words has something to judge him: the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day, because I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. So what I say, I say as the Father told me.”

John 10:22-30

At that time the festival of the Dedication was being celebrated in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered, “I have told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name testify to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will sn**ch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can sn**ch it out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

To grow in one’s vocation means being with Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to act in our hearts and in the circumstances of life, and reinterpreting everything in light of this gift.

Good Shepherd Sunday

John 10:1-10

“Very truly, I tell you, anyone who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a bandit. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. They will not follow a stranger, but they will run from him because they do not know the voice of strangers.” Jesus used this figure of speech with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

Again Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and bandits; but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

SACRAMENT OF HEALING

SACRAMENT OF HEALING

The Sacrament of Confession heals you, frees you, and cleanses you like you would never believe. The Lord washes away all of our sins, heals us from the shame, guilt, fear, and the weight we've been carrying around. Many people avoid confession and confessing their sins to God, but all they're doing is carrying more and more weight and filth around for their entire life when they can unload it in the same way a car gets cleansed at a car wash. All of our biggest, darkest, most despicable and evil sins can be washed away as if they never happened. Who wouldn't want that freedom? We take out the trash in our houses every day. Why don't we take out the trash in our souls and give it to Christ? He died on the cross so that we could be forgiven, healed, and cleansed. The Bible says the penalty for sin is death, but Jesus died on the cross so we don't have to. He made a way for us to be freed from our sins. If you would like to go to confession and you would like to talk to us about it first, just email us: [email protected].

John 6:44-51

Jesus said to his disciples, “No one can come to me unless drawn by the Father who sent me; and I will raise that person up on the last day. It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father. Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Jn 6:35-40
Jesus said to the crowds, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst. But I told you that although you have seen me, you do not believe. Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me. And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”

Today we honor St. Anselm of Canterbury (1033–1109), Benedictine monk, theologian, and Doctor of the Church. Born in Italy, he became archbishop of Canterbury despite initial reluctance. Known as the “Father of Scholasticism,” he is famed for the ontological argument for God’s existence and the satisfaction theory of atonement—which inspired today’s reflection on God’s justice and mercy. A tireless defender of Church freedom, he died on Holy Tuesday. His feast day is April 21.
