Today, the SALAM SHS: The Ateneo Muslim Society successfully conducted its Islamic Symposium with the theme, โ€œPurity of Heart, Excellence in Character: Walking in the Footsteps of Maryam,โ€ through the simultaneous celebrations of Ateneo de Davao University Senior High School held at Assembly Hall B, 4th Floor.

The symposium served as a meaningful gathering for reflection and learning, reminding our fellow Ateneans of the importance of nurturing a pure heart and cultivating excellence in character through the inspiring example of Maryam (AS). Through meaningful discussions and reflections, participants were encouraged to embody sabr, hayaa, tawakkul, and sincere devotion to Allah in their everyday lives.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone, especially Usatdz Nasroden Abdullah, who joined and supported this meaningful gathering. Despite having PhilHealth and Maxicare, her medical expenses have already exceeded her available coverage. Her hospital bill reached โ‚ฑ26,000 on the first day alone, and after several days of confinement, along with costly medications and injections, the financial burden continues to grow.

She is an only child, and her mother is also recovering from a stroke, making this trial even more difficult for their family.
