THE POWER OF AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD: REV. REDENTOR C. NAPOCO

An encounter with God is not simply a moment that stirs our emotions. It is an encounter with the Holy One that changes us.

In Isaiah 6:1–8, Isaiah encountered the holiness and glory of God. He saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on His throne. In that moment, everything came into perspective. He saw God clearly, and in the light of God’s holiness, he saw himself honestly. He recognized his own condition and cried out in repentance.

But God did not leave him there.

A live coal from the altar touched Isaiah’s lips, and he heard:

“Your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” — Isaiah 6:7 (NIV)

In the presence of God, Isaiah was confronted with his sin, cleansed by God’s grace, and made ready to hear His call.

Then Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord:

“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And the one who had encountered God’s holiness, received His cleansing, and heard His call responded:

“Here am I. Send me!” — Isaiah 6:8 (NIV)

That is the power of an encounter with God.

It brings clarity because an encounter with God puts Him back at the center of everything.
It brings conviction and repentance because His holiness reveals our true condition.
It brings cleansing, freedom, and fresh fire because God does not reveal our brokenness just to leave us there.
And it calls us higher in faith, perspective, obedience, and purpose.

But an encounter with God cannot end with simply experiencing His presence. It must lead to transformation—a changed heart, a changed life, and a willing response to His call.

When God reveals—listen.
When He convicts—repent.
When He cleanses—walk in freedom.
When He calls—obey.

Do not hesitate to surrender.
Do not hesitate to step forward.
Do not hesitate to say YES.

Because an encounter with God is not simply a moment we experience—it is a moment that calls us to live differently.

And when He calls, let our answer be:

“Here am I. Send me!”

Beyond what we could arrange, God moved in ways we never could have planned.

The first night didn’t go as expected—the power went out, and we had to hold some of our sessions outside the church. It wasn’t what we originally planned, but it became exactly where God chose to meet us.

Because Encounter was never about having everything in place—it’s about hearts that are surrendered, available, and ready to respond to Him.

And maybe that’s what God was showing us from the very beginning; that His presence is not limited by our setup, our plans, or our conditions.

Even without lights, He illuminated hearts.
Even without a perfect setting, He made room for transformation.

What seemed unexpected became something meaningful.

Truly, when we draw near to God, He meets us—right where we are.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen!” -Galatians 3:2021 NKJV

To God be all the glory for what He has done in CFCI EGR Batch 12. 🙌
