1. Recitalists should wear appropriate modest attire. Girls in below knee-length or longer dresses. Boys in black slacks and long sleeves or suits. No spaghetti straps, no platform shoes, flip-flops, or athletic footwear. Please do not wear dangling, jingling jewelry. Observe proper hairstyle.
2. If you are permitted to bring hard copy of your piece please use black clear book folder.
3. Call time 5pm, Friday (1 hour before recital). Arrive at the requested time to learn where to sit, tune instrument, warm up, receive instructions further, etc.
4. Once it is your turn, rise quickly and walk up to the stage gracefully. Adjust the bench (for pianists), pause and collect your thoughts, and begin when you are ready.
5. Recitalists must bow at the beginning and the end of the performance.
6. If itโs not your turn yet, please listen and avoid doing unnecessary movements.
7. Respect the other recitalists. Unnecessary noise from whispering, chitchatting, etc. during a program is not acceptable. Reading, studying, playing video games, and writing letters during a program are also inappropriate.

1. Audience must always remember first to listen quietly, actively, and appreciatively to the music being offered by the recitalists.
2. Recitals are a special occasion, please dress appropriately and nicely.
3. Arrive at the given time to begin recital. It is difficult for those performing. If something happens out of your control to which you arrive late, kindly wait to enter between pieces or when you hear applause. DO NOT ENTER while someone is performing!
4. Applauses/clapping of hands are encouraged only before and after performing. The recitalist will bow, and your response is to applaud politely.
5. Turn off/silence cell phone or any other devices that may produce sound. No vibrate either.
6. Capturing photos with flash cameras is discouraged. You may use flash photography during the pictorial.
7. Unnecessary noise from whispering, chitchatting, doors opening, etc. during a program is not acceptable. Reading, studying, playing video games, and writing during the program are also inappropriate. Extra noise is too distracting for recitalists.
8. No whistling, yelling, or other loud methods of congratulations, especially before the performance.
9. Please stay until the performance or event is entirely over.
