📖 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗣-𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

Eleven (11) youth representatives from different parish ministries of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish-Bangkal (OLLP-Bangkal), together with one representative from the Social Communications Ministry (SoCCom), four (4) representatives from ACLAIM, and Parish Bible Apostolate Coordinator Rico Lancian, participated in the 8th Bibliyampo Congress held on August 8, 2026, at the Saint Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary of Mindanao (ReMaSe), Catalunan Grande, Davao City.

The whole-day gathering, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, brought together young people and Bible ministry representatives in a meaningful celebration of God’s Word and the Church’s call to journey together in the spirit of synodality.

During the morning session, Rev. Fr. Ritsche J. Gamaya, Director of the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao, shared insights on Verbum Domini 73 (The Word of God). He emphasized that the Word of God is not simply something to be read or heard, but something that must be put into practice—not only in words, but through concrete actions and the way we live our lives.

In the afternoon session, Rev. Fr. Russel Bantiles presented Sulong Padayon, encouraging the participants to move forward in proclaiming the Word of God. His message challenged everyone not to stop at simply reading the Bible, but to share God’s Word with others and, most importantly, to “walk the talk” by living out the Gospel.

Carrying the theme, “Collab With Love in the Word in the Spirit of Synodality,” the congress highlighted the importance of collaboration, communion, participation, and mission through a deeper encounter with Sacred Scripture.

The participation of the OLLP-Bangkal delegation reflects the parish’s continuing commitment to nurturing young people in the Word of God and empowering them to take an active role in the life and mission of the Church.

The congress also provided the youth with an opportunity to learn, share experiences, build friendships, and journey with fellow young people from different communities, while rediscovering the importance of listening, dialogue, and walking together in faith.

As young disciples, they are reminded that the Word of God is not meant to remain within the pages of the Bible. It is a Word to be heard, lived, shared, and proclaimed through our daily lives and within the community.

With hearts renewed and faith strengthened, the OLLP-Bangkal delegation returns to the parish inspired to collaborate with love, live the Word, and journey together in the spirit of synodality.

𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐏𝐘𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 | 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐏𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐎 🌹

Last July 27, 2026, on the first day of the pilgrimage of Our Lady of Guadalupe from Mexico, the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Youth Apostolate, together with the San Pablo Vicariate, attended the 8:00 PM mass and volunteered as ushers for this once-in-a-lifetime event. ✨

Seeing the people who were anointed, being prayed over the tilma, and the veneration of the images deeply resonated with us in our personal journey as well. Being a youth today challenges us on how our actions mirror the hope and faith in Christ, who, by the Blessed Virgin Mary, was conceived. But we take heart as we see hope and light in God; like the Blessed Mother, we continually rejoice in the Lord, who reveals His great love to us. 🙏

Encountering the devotees and the youth of the archdiocese, they felt the intercession of our Mother, which deeply moved them in their communities and personal lives. Given the circumstances and the trials we face today, our Mother, who appeared to San Juan Diego in 1531, timelessly reminds us to "not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother?
Are you not under my protection?"

We thank the Lord for blessing us to take part in this joyous and memorable event, and for ACLAIM and DAYCA for inviting us and coordinating with our worship head, Gabriel Armecin. 💙

The Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Apostolate (OLLPYA) had recently concluded its 2nd Meeting with the PSBs and Asst. PSBs of the Youth Apostolate last May 10, 2026. The meeting revolved around the new role assignments and possible expectations of an upcoming planned event. The core group extends its gratitude who were present on the meeting, your presence truly is a gift for us from the Almighty God. 💙✨

To all PSBs and Asst. PSBs who were unable to attend this meeting, you are kindly requested to check the official communication channels of the youth apostolate to further discuss on the implications of the said meeting. 🫶

The OLLPYA extends its warm congratulations to Rev. Fr. Roldan B. Baliano for his priestly ordination! We pray for his success in his consecrated life as an instrument and servant of God's people, and for more vocations to come.🙏

The Our Lady of Lourdes Parish joins the faithful of the Archdiocese of Davao in joyfully celebrating the Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood of Rev. Fr. Roldan B. Baliano at San Pedro Cathedral today. Through the laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination, he is now called to share in the priesthood of Christ as a servant of the Gospel and shepherd of God’s people.

After years of prayer, formation, sacrifice, and faithful response to God’s call, Fr. Roldan begins a new chapter of ministry dedicated to the service of the Church. His ordination stands as a powerful reminder that God continues to call laborers into His vineyard, inspiring the faithful to trust in His plans and respond generously to His invitation.

May the Lord bless Fr. Roldan with holiness, wisdom, strength, and a compassionate heart as he embarks on his priestly ministry. May the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to guide and protect him always as he faithfully serves Christ and His Church.

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 | In the darkness of the night, a new flame ignites that triumphs. In the darkness of our hearts, let Christ be our light; the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. In every age, God always loves His children, and his salvation never ceases to fail. By this, He gave us His only begotten son, that with Jesus' suffering comes new life through His resurrection.

We are invited to renew our hearts in baptism and to joyfully welcome God's triumph over death. That with the candles we bear, we will shine His light to others, bearing the Good News of salvation.

"For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his, we shall also be united with him in the resurrection."

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 | Jesus shows his unfailing love, even to the point of His death, on the Cross upon which hung the salvation of the world. Now, we remain in steadfast prayer, remembering His suffering and His faithfulness to the Lord. As we venerate the cross, it will become the symbol of God's undying forgiveness and faithfulness to us. That in our hearts, we will glorify his holy wounds that were bound by darkness and sin.

"Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered;
and when he was made perfect,
He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him."

𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗬 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘 | Today, we commemorate Christ's love for us, down the grueling and painful Way to the Cross (Via Dolorosa). Let us recall the path to salvation and how our Savior endured suffering to bear the sins of the world. With continued reverence, we also reflect His seven last words on the cross. That in His words, we may attain eternal life with Him.

"But he was pierced for our offenses,
crushed for our sins;
upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole,
by his stripes we were healed."

The Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Washing of the feet of the chosen disciples, and the Sending forth of the GSLs and ministries of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish shall be held on the following schedules.
