Here’s today’s devotional reading. Be blest!

The way you think has the power to change your life.

Your thought processes are extremely valuable. They determine the direction of your outlook and attitudes. When you allow God’s goodness to direct your thoughts, you think about things like love, God’s grace, and how to be faithfully obedient to Him.

I know this is not always easy, especially nowadays when there are so many things out there to corrupt our way of thinking. We have to be on guard against these things, and the only way we can do that is by depending on Jesus, the incorruptible.

When we commit ourselves to reading and knowing God’s Word, the Bible, our hearts and minds become guarded against those things that can corrupt us. The Bible gives us a truer and nobler wisdom and perspective than anything this world has to offer.

Today I pray that you will let God’s incorruptible perspective be yours, too.

Heavenly Father,
Please help me to study the Bible regularly so Your values will be my values, too. Give me a noble, incorruptible character. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In the name of Your dear Son Jesus, I pray, Amen.Prayer Warrior Ladies

Here’s today’s devotional reading. Be blessed!

According to 1 Kings 3, God appeared to King Solomon in a dream and told him to ask for whatever he wished.

Solomon asked for wisdom, requesting the ability to tell the difference between good and evil while ruling over Israel.

God approved of this humble request. He not only promised no one would ever be wiser, but He also granted riches and honor.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline,” Solomon said at the beginning of his Proverbs (Proverbs 1:7).

When he wrote about wisdom, he knew what he was talking about. Even now — several thousand years later — his thoughts on the matter are worth considering.

Today’s Bible verse comes from Proverbs 24, a chapter that extols the benefits of wisdom, including:

• “Through wisdom a house is built… by knowledge, the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure” (Proverbs 24:3-4).

• “A wise man has great power; and a knowledgeable man increases strength” (Proverbs 24:5).

• The fool has nothing worth saying in court (Proverbs 24:7).

• Wisdom is as sweet to the soul as honey is to the taste buds (Proverbs 24:13-14).

• “If you have found wisdom, there will be a reward,” Solomon promises. “Your hope will not be cut off.”

In your daily search for wisdom, may you find your reward in the hope God provides.

Precious God,
You are the source of all I know. Please let the hope You give me last through eternity. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
