Lent is a sacred season that invites us to pause, reflect, and return to God with sincere hearts. In our busy lives—filled with responsibilities, work, and distractions—we sometimes forget to check the condition of our hearts.
Psalm 51 reminds us that renewal begins within. God does not ask for perfection; He asks for honesty. A clean heart is not one that has never failed, but one that humbly admits mistakes and seeks forgiveness.
Lent is not only about fasting from food. It is about fasting from anger, pride, gossip, and selfishness. It is about choosing kindness over irritation, patience over frustration, and generosity over greed.
Today, ask yourself:
What do I need to surrender to God?
Is there someone I need to forgive?
How can I love more sincerely?
Prayer
Lord, create in me a clean heart. Remove anything in me that is not pleasing to You. Teach me to forgive, to love, and to serve with humility. Help me grow closer to You each day of this Lenten journey. Amen.
