On this Easter Sunday, we proclaim the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who conquered sin and death, and opened the way to new life.

What seemed like defeat on the Cross has become the victory of love. What was once silence and waiting now gives way to hope fulfilled.

This day reminds us that God is always at work, even in the unseen, even in the waiting, leading us from darkness into light.

As we begin this renewed chapter of Daily Dose of Catholic Teachings with Al Barretto, may this platform continue to serve the Church, deepen our understanding of the faith, and lead more people closer to Christ.

A blessed and joyful Easter Sunday to all. 🙏🏻

Black Saturday is the day of silence, waiting, and hope.

After the sorrow of Good Friday, the Church enters a sacred pause. The altar is bare, the tabernacle is empty, and Christ lies in the tomb.

And yet, this silence is not empty.

Holy Saturday reminds us that even when everything seems still, God is at work in the unseen. It is the day between death and resurrection, between sorrow and joy, between waiting and fulfillment.

Many of us also experience “Black Saturdays” in life, moments of silence, uncertainty, and waiting. But this holy day teaches us that silence is not absence, waiting is not abandonment, and God is still at work even when unseen.

The Resurrection is near.

Good Friday reminds us of the depth of Christ’s love for us.

On this holy day, the Church invites us to reflect on the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, who offered Himself on the Cross for the salvation of the world.

May we spend this day in silence, prayer, and gratitude, remembering that our redemption came through His sacrifice.

A blessed and prayerful Good Friday to all.
