We are excited to begin another season of learning together at the ELOJEM Institute of Theological Education (ELITE).

AM — SURVEY OF THE DEUTEROCANON / APOCRYPHA

While we do not accept these books as part of the biblical canon or as authoritative Scripture, we recognize their important historical and interpretive value.

The Deuterocanon, also known among Protestants as the Apocrypha, is a collection of ancient Jewish writings produced largely during the Second Temple period—the historical and cultural world between the Old and New Testaments.

These writings give us an important window into the world of ancient Judaism—the world in which Jesus and the apostles lived. They help us understand the development of Jewish thought concerning the Messiah, resurrection, Torah, wisdom, atonement, angels and demons, and the hope for God’s coming Kingdom.

Studying them helps us better understand the historical, cultural, and theological world of the New Testament and reconnects us with the Jewish context from which the early Jesus movement emerged.

We study the Deuterocanon/Apocrypha not to expand the canon, but to expand our understanding of the world surrounding the canon.

PM — THEOLOGY 1

The Character and Attributes of God
Exodus 34:6–7

When God reveals his own character to Moses, he describes himself as:

Compassionate. Gracious. Slow to anger. Abounding in loyal love and faithfulness.

Exodus 34:6–7 becomes one of the Bible’s most important descriptions of God—repeated, quoted, and echoed throughout the biblical story.

In Theology 1, we will explore these divine attributes in their Hebrew and biblical context and trace how this foundational revelation shapes the Bible’s portrait of who God is.

Our goal is not merely to develop a list of God’s attributes, but to understand God’s character as God himself reveals it in Scripture.

This Sunday, June 21, 6:00–8:00 PM, we officially launch "How to Read the Bible"—an online class designed to help believers understand, interpret, and apply God's Word with greater confidence and faithfulness.

Whether you're a new believer, a CareGroup leader, a teacher, or simply hungry to grow deeper in Scripture, this class is for you.

Don't just read the Bible—learn how to read it well.

Due to the growing number of requests, ELITE (ELOJEM Institute of Theological Education) will soon be offering ONLINE CLASSES for our *How to Read the Bible* course.

This course is designed to help believers develop sound biblical interpretation skills, understand the Bible in its proper context, and grow in confidence as students of God's Word. Whether you are a church leader, a ministry worker, or simply a follower of Christ who desires to study the Scriptures more deeply, this course is for you.

Our initial plan is to hold classes on Sundays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as this is the time most convenient for Ptr. Wayne. Final schedules will be confirmed and announced soon.

As with our other ELITE offerings, this course will be FREE of charge. The primary requirement for enrollment is a sincere commitment to attend and complete the course in its entirety. Since the lessons are designed to build progressively from one session to the next, prospective participants are encouraged to carefully consider their availability before registering.

If you are interested in joining, please send a DM to Pastor Wayne Dimaano to express your interest. The number of interested participants will also help determine when the classes will officially begin.

We are grateful for those who regularly ask about fees and how they can support the ministry. Because of this, while there is no tuition fee, we will gladly receive any amount given as a voluntary seed offering to help cover course-related expenses such as Zoom subscriptions, learning materials, and other operational costs. Please know that giving is entirely optional and will never be a requirement for participation.

Our desire remains the same: to make sound biblical and theological education accessible to as many people as possible while cultivating faithful and committed students of God's Word.

📜 The morning session was filled with depth and insight as Rev. Geny Wayne Dimaano introduced the Prophets—describing them as “Torah enforcers” and “Covenant watchdogs.” He emphasized that the prophetic messages often carried themes of covenant rebellion, calls to repentance, and the coming Day of the Lord. The class was reminded that the prophets were not merely predictors of the future, but bold voices calling God’s people back to faithfulness.☝🏻❤️‍🩹

Ptr. Pinky Villanaba then brought the Book of Isaiah to life as she narrated its powerful message. She highlighted how Isaiah prophesied about the coming Messiah—revealing both the justice and the mercy of God woven throughout Scripture. From judgment to redemption, the class saw how God’s ultimate plan points to Christ.✝️

👑 In the afternoon session, Rev. Dimaano deepened the theological discussion by explaining the word “elohim.” He introduced the class to YHWH and the concept of spirit beings, clarifying the biblical worldview of the divine council and distinguishing the one true, covenant God from other spiritual beings. The class gained a clearer understanding of God’s supremacy, uniqueness, and authority over all creation.✨

It was truly an engaging and eye-opening session where the class encountered the richness of Scripture and the greatness of our God. To Him be all the glory!💙

January 24, 2026

After a long holiday vacation, the ELITE Class joyfully resumed, gathering once again for a meaningful and enriching day of learning and fellowship. ✨

In the morning, the class marked the last session of the Old Testament 1 – The Torah, where Rev. Wayne Dimaano thoughtfully recalled and connected the key highlights of the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It was a powerful review of God’s redemptive work—from creation and covenant to deliverance, worship, and faithful guidance.🎉📖

In the afternoon, the discussion deepened as Rev. Wayne taught on the Attributes of God, leading the class to reflect on who God is—holy, faithful, sovereign, loving, and unchanging. Both mind and heart were stirred as truth led us into worship.☝🏻

Indeed, it was a day of renewed focus, deeper understanding, and gratitude for God’s Word. 📖🔥
