"Sunday School playtime is more than just fun—it is an opportunity for children to build friendships, develop positive character, and experience God's love through joyful fellowship. Through play, children learn important life lessons while creating happy memories that encourage them to grow in faith and stay connected to the church community."

Today, we’re kicking off a powerful new series called “I AM” — diving into the bold and life-changing statements of Jesus.
This connects with our year’s theme “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” — 2 Peter 3:18
Throughout this series, we’ll wrestle with one important question: Who does Jesus say He is?
Not just what we think about Him. Not just what others say.
But what Jesus Himself declares about His identity.
Because when Jesus speaks about who He is… it carries authority, it reveals power, it brings truth that can change everything.
And as we grow in His grace and knowledge, we’ll discover that knowing who Jesus is… changes who we are.

In a world full of distractions, divided attention, and shifting priorities, what does it truly mean to be devoted?

The early church was not known for having the biggest buildings or the loudest voices. They were known for their devotion — to God’s Word, to one another, to worship, and to prayer. Their strength wasn’t in trends, but in truth. Their power wasn’t in popularity, but in perseverance
As a church family we are asking one simple but life-shaping question:
What are we truly devoted to?
This is not about adding another activity to your schedule.
It’s about aligning our hearts with what mattered most to the early church—and what still matters most today.
Let’s return to the foundation. Let’s grow deeper together. Let’s be a church that is truly DEVOTED

As we begin this new year, God is calling us to one clear direction—GROW. Growth is God’s will for every believer. Salvation is not the finish line—it is the starting point. God did not save us so we would remain spiritually stagnant. He saved us so we would grow into maturity, freedom, and fruitfulness.
But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ -2 Peter 3:18.

Wrapping Up the Year in Worship and Gratitude

As we gathered on the last Sunday of the year, our church family came together not just to close a chapter, but to celebrate the faithfulness of God who has carried us through every season. It was a day filled with joyful worship, heartfelt thanksgiving, and meaningful moments that reminded us that God is always true to His promises.

We ended the year anchored in the greatest promise fulfilled—God’s redemptive plan revealed through the birth of Jesus Christ. As we remembered Christmas, we were reminded that the same God who sent His Son to bring hope, salvation, and new life continues to work faithfully among us today. Emmanuel—God with us—has been with us all throughout this year.

The celebration was made even more special as we witnessed the ordination of Pastor Mike Ryan Cutad. It was a warm and sacred moment as the church affirmed God’s calling, faithfulness, and grace upon his life and ministry. Through prayers, laying on of hands, and words of encouragement, we rejoiced together, recognizing that God continues to raise leaders after His own heart to shepherd His people. Truly, “He who calls you is faithful, and He will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

The day was also filled with laughter and joy through our year-end ganap—the exchange gift and raffle brought smiles, excitement, and a sense of family as we celebrated not just the end of the year, but the gift of fellowship God has given us. These simple yet meaningful moments reminded us that joy is found in togetherness and gratitude.

As we look back on the year, we see God’s hand in every step—through challenges, victories, growth, and transformation. And as we look ahead, we do so with hope and confidence, knowing that the God who fulfilled His promise through the birth of Jesus will continue to fulfill His purposes in and through us.

We close the year with hearts full of praise, eyes fixed on Christ, and lives surrendered to His mission—celebrating God’s faithfulness, rejoicing in His redemption, and stepping into the new year with faith and expectation.

Merry Christmas, Converge Davao family!

As we celebrate this season, we are reminded that Christmas is simple—not because life is easy, but because God is with us. Each of us comes with different experiences, joys, and challenges, yet we hold to the same hope: God sent Jesus to save us, and His presence is our greatest gift.

To our leaders, members, and families—thank you for walking faithfully together as the church. May this Christmas fill your hearts and homes with Christ’s peace, joy, and renewed hope.

May we continue to love deeply, worship sincerely, and trust God fully as we move forward together.

Merry Christmas and blessings to you all.

We are not meant to walk this journey alone.
In Christ, we are connected—one body, many parts, growing together in faith and love (Romans 12:5).

God has not only saved us; He has called us.
Called into a real relationship with Jesus Christ, to know Him, follow Him, and live with purpose (1 Corinthians 1:9).

And because we are connected and called, we are challenged to be committed.
To choose whom we will serve, to stand firm in faith, and to live out our devotion to God daily (Joshua 24:15).

This camp is a call to the youth to:
Connect deeply with God and one another
Respond to God’s calling on their lives
Commit to live boldly and faithfully for Christ

Join us as we gather, grow, and decide together to live a life that honors God.
Connected. Called. Committed.

Finding the beauty of Christ in a season that often feels too busy, too expensive, and too heavy.
As we step into this joyful season, we’re launching a brand-new series called “Simple Christmas.” And let’s be honest—those two words don’t usually go together. In fact, for many of us, a simple Christmas almost feels impossible.

We live in a country that starts celebrating Christmas as early as September—four months filled with decorations, reunions, traffic, shopping, and a never-ending list of expectations. Every year, we get swept into the pressure of making Christmas “bigger,” “better,” or “mas magarbo.” Even the recent national reaction to the idea of a ₱500 noche buena budget shows just how deeply complicated and overwhelming the season can feel for many Filipino families.
But what if Christmas doesn’t have to be exhausting?
What if meaningful joy doesn’t require extravagance?
What if the first Christmas—quiet, humble, simple—is actually the model God gave us?
This December, we invite you to journey with us as we rediscover what Christmas was meant to be:
✔ deeper, not busier
✔ meaningful, not stressful
✔ centered on Jesus, not the noise around us
“Simple Christmas” will help us slow down, breathe again, and encounter the peace that only Christ brings. Let’s choose a different kind of Christmas—one filled with gratitude, presence, and wonder.
Join us this Sunday as we begin the journey toward a truly Simple Christmas.
