📖 Sermon Topic: SERIES: THE PARABLES
✨ The Parable of the Good Samaritan

📍 Main Scripture: Luke 10:25–37 (ESV)

“Go and do likewise.” — Jesus

Ang Parable of the Good Samaritan ay nagtuturo kung ano talaga ang tunay na pagmamahal. ❤️

The priest and Levite saw the wounded man pero dumaan lang sila. Pero ang Samaritan—someone rejected by society—tumigil, nagpakita ng compassion, at tumulong without expecting anything in return.

Jesus reminds us na ang pagmamahal sa ating neighbor ay hindi naka-base sa:
❌ Status
❌ Appearance
❌ Race or background
❌ Kung ano ang makukuha natin sa kanila

But true love is shown through:
✔️ Compassion
✔️ Mercy
✔️ Kindness
✔️ Action

📖 Psalm 51:10
“Create in me a clean heart, O God…”

📖 Romans 12:10
“Honor one another above yourselves.”

📖 Romans 2:11
“For God shows no partiality.”

As followers of Christ, hindi lang tayo tinatawag na malaman ang Word of God, kundi isabuhay ito araw-araw through love and mercy.

✨ Reflection:
• Sino ang “neighbor” na tinatawag kang tulungan ni God today?
• Do we help with sincere motives?
• Handa ba tayong magmahal beyond differences and prejudice?

📖 Matthew 7:12
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them…”

May we become people who reflect the heart of Jesus by loving others sincerely and selflessly. 🙏

SERMON TOPIC: Series: The Parables - The Hidden Treasure and The Pearl (Matthew 13:44-46)
Jesus uses two short parables to describe the value of the Kingdom of Heaven. Both the man and the merchant had one response when they discovered something priceless:
👉 They gave up everything to gain it.
But notice this:
• One was not looking (treasure in a field)
• One was searching (merchant looking for pearls)
Yet both ended the same way — total surrender because of great value.

1. God’s Salvation Came When You Weren’t Looking (📖 Romans 3:10–11)
• The man in the field was not searching for treasure
• It was unexpected — yet life-changing

👉 Truth: We don’t naturally seek God — God reaches us first
• You didn’t accidentally find Christ
• God was already working in your life

💬 Questions:
• Naranasan mo ba na parang “unexpected” ang pagdating ni God sa buhay mo?
• Can you share a moment when God revealed Himself to you kahit hindi mo Siya actively hinahanap?

2. Salvation Brings Unexplainable Joy (📖 1 Peter 1:8–9)
• “In his joy, he went and sold all he had…”
• The sacrifice was not painful — it was joyful

👉 Truth: Real salvation produces deep, unexplainable joy
• Not based on circumstances
• Not temporary happiness
• It’s rooted in knowing Christ

💬 Questions:
• Ano ang nagbago sa joy mo after knowing Christ?
• What kind of joy do you experience now that you didn’t have before?

3. The Treasure Worth Everything (📖 Matthew 16:24–25 and Philippians 3:7–8)
• Both men sold everything
• Why? Because what they found was worth more than everything they had

👉 Truth: Following Jesus requires surrender — but it’s always worth it
• You don’t lose — you gain something far greater
• Jesus is not just part of your life — He becomes your greatest treasure

💬 Questions:
• Ano ang mga bagay na nahihirapan kang sumuko kay Lord?
• Is Jesus truly your greatest treasure right now?

APPLICATION: Ask the group to reflect.
• Am I treating Jesus as my greatest treasure?
• Is there anything I value more than Him?
• What is God asking me to surrender today?

MESSAGE: The Kingdom of Heaven is so valuable that it is worth giving up everything to gain it.
