Today, April 22, 2025, was a momentous occasion as the children from GKK Senior Santo Niño Palo 4 received their First Holy Communion. The celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Diomedes Lagroma, DCM, who warmly welcomed the children, their families, and the parish community.
In his homily, Fr. Diomedes reflected on the significance of the Eucharist in the lives of Christians. He emphasized that receiving Jesus in the Holy Communion strengthens our faith, nourishes our souls, and empowers us to live as His disciples.
As the children approached the altar to receive their First Holy Communion, they were filled with joy and excitement. Fr. Diomedes administered the sacrament with tender care, ensuring that each child felt loved and cherished.
The ceremony was a beautiful celebration of faith, love, and community. The children's smiles and laughter filled the church, and their families beamed with pride as they watched their little ones receive Jesus for the first time.
After the communion rite, Fr. Diomedes offered a heartfelt message to the children, encouraging them to continue growing in their faith and to always remember Jesus' love for them. He also thanked the parents, catechists, and parish staff for their support and guidance.
The First Holy Communion celebration concluded with a sense of joy, gratitude, and renewed commitment to faith. As the children departed, they carried with them the memory of a special day and the promise of a lifelong relationship with Jesus in the Eucharist.
