In a meaningful act of charity and solidarity, the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Social Action Ministry (PSAM) carried out its outreach initiative with the distribution of โ€œGasaโ€ (gifts) to tricycle drivers on April 25, 2026, at the parish grounds.

Captured in a simple yet powerful message, โ€œGasa for Tricycle Drivers | 4-25-26โ€, the activity highlighted the parishโ€™s commitment to serve those who tirelessly work on the roads each day. Tricycle drivers received essential goods prepared by the community, affirming their dignity and recognizing their vital role in daily life.

The outreach was further enriched by the blessing of the tricycle units, presided over by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Marlon M. Reyes, SSS. The rite underscored a prayer for safety, protection, and guidance for the drivers in their daily journeys.

Through the PSAM team, the initiative embodied the Churchโ€™s mission of compassionate service, reaching out to those in need and bringing faith beyond the walls of the parish. The Marriage Enrichment Seminar (MES), a program regularly offered under the Family and Life Apostolate (FLA), continues to serve as a vital formation initiative that strengthens the sacramental life of married couples. Designed to deepen communication, rekindle love, and reaffirm shared faith, the seminar invites couples to revisit the foundation of their marriage as a covenant rooted in Godโ€™s enduring love.

At the heart of the gathering was the Renewal of Vows, where couples stood before the altar to once again profess their promises of love, fidelity, and lifelong partnership. Presiding over the rite, Fr. Montaรฑez emphasized that marriage is not only a moment of commitment but a continuous journey of grace, one that calls for daily renewal, forgiveness, and self-giving love.

Our Lady of the Assumption Parish continues to value and support youth involvement in the Church through its monthly Youth Mass, held on the fourth Sunday of each month at 3:00 p.m.

Last Sundayโ€™s celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Rechardson L. Ebcas, SSS, who led the young faithful in a vibrant and prayerful Eucharistic gathering. The Mass provided a meaningful space for the youth to actively participate in the liturgy and deepen their relationship with Christ.

The Assumption Parish Youth Ministry (APYM)highlighted that the Youth Mass serves as a platform for formation, encouraging young people to take on active roles in ministry while nurturing their faith and sense of community. Through music, service, and participation, the youth are invited to grow as disciples and witnesses of the Gospel.

In preparation for Parish Youth Day 2026, young participants gathered yesterday, April 26, 2026, for a Pre-Orientation held from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. at the 3rd Floor of the PPC Building.

Anchored on the principle that every meaningful mission begins with preparation, the activity guided the youth in both logistical and spiritual readiness for the upcoming celebration. Important reminders, house rules, and expectations were discussed to ensure that all participants are aligned and prepared for the journey ahead.

APYM core and staff emphasized that the pre-orientation was not only about information but also about formation. It served as an opportunity for the youth to come together, build connections, and begin their journey as one faith-filled community. Participants were encouraged to prepare their hearts, minds, and spirits as they respond to their mission in the Church.

The Our Lady of the Assumption Parish successfully conducted a two-day โ€œLife in the Eucharistโ€ Seminar for recruits to the liturgical ministries, held yesterday evening and continuing throughout today at the 3rd Floor of the PPC Building. This event also offered insights and inspiration for the entire parish community to deepen their understanding of the Eucharist's role in our faith life.

The formation program guided participants through a comprehensive journey of understanding the Eucharist as the center of Christian life. The opening session introduced the theme โ€œEucharist: Godโ€™s Love Lived by Mary in Jesus Christ,โ€ highlighting Mary as the model of total surrender and faithful response to Godโ€™s love. This was followed by moments of witnessing and prayer, encouraging participants to see their role in serving others through Christ's love.

The second day deepened this formation through a series of inputs that explored the many dimensions of the Eucharist: as nourishment that sustains faith, reconciliation that brings healing and unity, transformation that renews life, abiding presence that remains with the faithful, and liberation that sets believers free in Christ. Each session was enriched with personal testimonies, group activities, and guided prayer experiences, helping participants grow closer to Christ and enriching their personal faith journeys.

The seminar culminated in a Eucharistic Celebration with the renewal of baptismal promises, inviting participants to reaffirm their commitment to live as true Eucharistic ministers.
