Chief Apostle Visit in Makati – May 3, 2026 Divine Service
The Divine Service began with the congregation singing the opening hymn.
Afterward, CA Jean-Luc Schneider offered the opening prayer, honoring and praising the Triune God and professing our faith and belief in Him as the Almighty, loving, merciful God, and our Savior.
The Chief Apostle expressed gratitude to God for allowing us to experience His love, kindness, and care in our daily lives.
Above all, he thanked God for preparing us for eternal life, for His plan of salvation for all humankind, and for teaching us to care for our neighbors.
The Bible text for the Divine Service was taken from Epistle to the Ephesians 3:20–21
“Unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
The Chief Apostle warmly greeted the Makati congregation and all the connected congregations throughout the Philippines with joy and gladness, expressing his happiness for the fellowship with the brothers and sisters during the Divine Service.
In his sermon, the Chief Apostle emphasized the importance of worshipping God.
He explained that we worship Him because we are aware that God is far greater than anything we can ask, imagine, or think.
To illustrate how people experience God differently, he shared the story of an elephant in the zoo and several people trying to describe it. One person touched the tail and concluded that the elephant was like a rope, while another touched the skin and trunk and came to different conclusions.
Though their descriptions were different, they were not wrong because each experienced only a part of the elephant.
In the same way, our experiences and understanding of God may differ, but each experience reveals a part of His greatness and love.
God will never use his power to force us to be save.
Message from District Apostle Lambert
District Apostle Lambert emphasized
“The power of God is working in you.”
He explained that there are things we know and things we do not know.
We may know ourselves and our weaknesses, but there are still parts of ourselves that remain hidden from us our blind spots. But God sees everything in us clearly and completely.
Therefore,
“Let us humble ourselves before God, because He sees us perfectly.”
He reminded everyone that the power of God is actively working in us today. Even when we cannot see the changes happening within ourselves, God’s power is doing wonderful things in our lives.
He also taught that it is easy to say, “Glory to God,” but we truly glorify Him when we demonstrate the fruits of His work in us through our actions, faith, love, and obedience.
Message from the Chief Apostle Helper
The Chief Apostle Helper emphasized that the power of God is greater and higher than we can think or imagine because God is the absolute Great One.
He explained that the power of God is within us like a battery through the Holy Spirit. The nature of this power is exceedingly abundant.
He shared that in life, we often face many doubts. Sometimes it may feel like our doubts are 99% and our faith is only 1%. But even that 1% of faith is enough like pressing a small switch that activates great power.
That faith carries incredible power. It can make the impossible possible and enables us to forgive and love our neighbors just as Jesus Christ did.
