A Beautiful Finish: DVBS 2026 Graduation!
Our hearts are full of joy and gratitude as we look back on the Graduation Ceremony of our Daily Vacation Bible School, held last Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Soli Deo Gloria Tacunan Sanctuary. God has been so faithful throughout this entire journey!
Worship and Celebration
The special day began with our regular Sunday worship service, where Ptr. Freddy Lavega led the congregation and preached God's word. Around 60 children, along with many of their parents, filled the sanctuary to worship together.
The best part of the morning was seeing parents sit through the church service before the graduation started. Hearing the Gospel together as a family is truly the most important highlight of all.
Celebrating the Children
During the graduation ceremony, every child was recognized for their hard work and unique talents over the 5-day VBS. We handed out certificates for the following:
• Perfect attendance and punctuality
• Excellence in Bible verse memorization
• Creativity in arts and crafts
• Being highly participative and responsible
Blessings to Take Home
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the children didn't just go home with certificates. Each graduate was blessed with 5 kilos of rice and 10 pieces of eggs to bring home to their families. The kids were so happy and proud to carry these gifts back to their households!
A Blessed Community
We were also honored to have Ptr. Abraham Ramos and his wife, Jenica Ramos, attended our Sunday worship service with us as parents of two of our VBS completers. They are from SDG main church but intentionally joined us for this special event. Ptr. Abraham led our community in the closing prayer, wrapping up the ceremony with thanksgiving.
Fellowship Lunch
We ended the day just like a big family—with food! Both the adults and the children enjoyed a wonderful fellowship lunch, with everyone receiving packed meals and drinks.
Thank you to every teacher, volunteer, parent, and donor who made DVBS 2026 a success. We pray that the truths these children learned will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Soli Deo Gloria!
