Ang paglikay (abstinence) sa karne matag Biyernes sa Kwaresma ginabuhat aron hinumdoman ang pag-antos ug kamatayon ni Hesus sa Krus, nga nahitabo sa adlaw nga Biyernes. Usa kini ka buhat sa penitensiya ug disiplina sa kaugalingon, nga nagtudlo kanato sa paghalad og gagmayng sakripisyo isip paghinulsol sa atong mga sala.

Nagpahinumdom usab kini kanato sa pagkinabuhi nga yano ug maluloy-on, pakig-ambit sa kasakit sa kabus, ug pagtuon sa paghatag ug pag-ampo. Pinaagi niini nga tinuig nga batasan, ang Simbahang Katolika naghiusa sa mga magtutuo sa espirituhanong pagpangandam alang sa Pasko sa Pagkabanhaw.

Youth delegates from various vicariates across the Archdiocese of Davao gathered at St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary for the Archdiocesan Youth Bible Symposium—a meaningful celebration of faith, learning, and fellowship centered on God’s Word.

Several members of the OLP Youth Ministry actively took part in the event, proudly representing San Alfonso Maria de Liguori Parish, Mandug, and joining fellow young people in deepening their love and understanding of Sacred Scripture.
