Clothed in white, hearts aligned in worship. 🤍✨

Our music team came together for a time of rest, reflection, and renewal at our retreat—away from the busyness of life to focus on Him. It’s more than just music; it’s about serving God with our talents, encouraging one another, and growing deeper as a team and as individuals.

Every note we play and every song we sing comes from a heart seeking His presence. Grateful for this sacred time to recharge, bond, and prepare to lead our church in worship with even more joy and passion. 🎶🙏

Here’s to unity, faith, and the beautiful journey of serving together!”

🎉 Pastors and Workers Appreciation Month 🙌💒

A Time to Honor Our Faithful Servants of God ❤️

This month, we take a special moment to express our deepest gratitude and love for the faithful men and women who have tirelessly dedicated their lives to serving God and His people. 🌿

We are truly blessed to be led and guided by our Host Pastor, Rev. Norberto “Dodong” Pilar Jr., whose heart for the ministry continues to inspire everyone around him. His unwavering faith, steadfast leadership, and humble spirit remind us daily of what it means to walk closely with the Lord.

We also give thanks to our Bible Women, Ma’am Sharlina Piloton and Ma’am Grace Deloso, whose passion for God’s Word and devotion to the ministry have touched countless lives. Through their prayers, encouragement, and tireless work, many have found hope, healing, and spiritual strength. 💕

And of course, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Pastor CJ Juario and Pastor CJ Deloso, whose dedication to sharing the Gospel and shepherding God’s flock continues to make a powerful impact in our church and community. Their faithfulness in teaching, mentoring, and serving exemplifies true servant leadership. 🙏

To all our beloved pastors and workers—thank you for your sacrifices, prayers, and love that often go unseen but never unnoticed. You are God’s chosen vessels, and we are deeply grateful for your obedience to His call.

As a church family, we celebrate you not only this month but every day. May God continue to bless your ministries with strength, wisdom, and overflowing joy. May you always find encouragement in knowing that your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). 🌟

💐 Happy Pastors and Workers Appreciation Month!
We honor you, we love you, and we thank God for your lives! ❤️

📖 Context

This verse is part of Paul’s closing exhortations to the church in Thessalonica (1 Thess. 5:12–22). Paul gives a series of short, powerful commands for Christian living: rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, do not quench the Spirit, etc. These were practical instructions for a young church facing trials, persecution, and challenges of faith.

🔎 Meaning

“Rejoice” means to have a deep, inward gladness that comes from God, not from circumstances.
“Always” shows that joy isn’t meant to be occasional or conditional—it should be constant, a lifestyle.
Paul isn’t commanding fake happiness; instead, he points to a joy rooted in Christ, which can remain even in hardship.

This joy flows from:

Salvation in Christ (Luke 10:20 – rejoice that your names are written in heaven).
God’s presence (Psalm 16:11 – fullness of joy in His presence).

Hope in trials (Romans 5:3–5 – we rejoice in sufferings because they produce hope).

✨ Lessons

Joy is a choice – It’s not based on feelings but on trust in God.

Joy is spiritual strength – Nehemiah 8:10 says, “the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Joy witnesses to others – A Christian who has joy in hardships shows the world the power of God’s presence.

💡 Application

Shift perspective: Instead of asking, Why me? in trials, ask, What is God teaching me?

Cultivate gratitude: Joy and thanksgiving go hand in hand. Start by listing blessings daily.

Stay connected to God: Joy is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22). It grows as we remain close to Him in prayer and His Word.

👉 In short, 1 Thessalonians 5:16 calls us to live with a joy that doesn’t depend on life’s ups and downs but is anchored in Christ.

📖Context

In the verses before (Matthew 6:19–20), Jesus warns His listeners not to store up treasures on earth, which are temporary and vulnerable to decay, theft, or destruction. Instead, He calls them to lay up treasures in heaven—lasting spiritual investments that can never be lost. Verse 21 explains why: because whatever we value most will ultimately direct the focus of our hearts.

🔎 Meaning

“Treasure” here refers to what we value most—whether material wealth, possessions, achievements, or spiritual riches like faith, obedience, and love for God.

“Heart” in biblical language is more than emotions; it represents the center of one’s desires, will, and devotion.

The verse shows a spiritual principle: our affections follow our investments. If we pour time, energy, and resources into earthly things, our hearts will cling to them. If we invest in God’s kingdom, our hearts will be drawn upward toward Him.

✨ Lessons

Priorities Reveal Faith – What we treasure shows what we truly believe is most important. If Christ is our treasure, our heart will rest in Him.

Earthly vs. Heavenly Investments – Earthly treasures are temporary; heavenly treasures are eternal. Jesus shifts our focus to what endures.

Guarding Our Hearts – By choosing where to place our “treasure,” we also decide where our heart will naturally dwell.

💡 Application
Evaluate: What do my spending habits, time commitments, and passions say about what I treasure most?

Redirect: If our hearts feel distant from God, it may be because our “treasure” has shifted elsewhere. Start investing more in prayer, Scripture, generosity, and service.

Live Eternal-Minded: True joy and fulfillment come from aligning our treasures with God’s purposes, not chasing what fades.

👉 In short, Matthew 6:21 is not only about money—it’s about allegiance. Jesus is asking: What do you treasure most? Because whatever it is, that’s where your heart truly belongs.
