When God turns things around!

A kind woman from a Barangay office took a teenager who was wearing filthy clothes, absent-minded, and wouldn't answer questions. Rosylene had a traumatic childhood experience that led to clinical depression.

As God has His perfect plan for each of us, Bem understood her purpose in life when she encountered Jesus Christ. Because of this, she started to dream again and pushed through life with determination. By the grace and strength of the Lord, she completed it!

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

"The first work of the whole Church is to give the Gospel to the whole world."

-Oswald J. Smith

"IGIVINSPIRE" is a mission project that comes from the tagline "I give. I inspire," which was done last December 2025 at Pegalongan, Marilog District. The program was held in a remote, off-grid community of the Matigsalug and Aeta tribes.

The team trekked for around 2 hours, including crossing rivers with quite strong currents. Transportation of supplies was by "balsa," carefully navigated by the locals, as the water depth could reach chest level. Upon reaching the site, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the residents and helped carry our loads.

We distributed bags containing school supplies, hygiene kits, and toys to approximately 300 elementary and high school students. Knowing from the school head that they love spaghetti, our partners helped in providing 10 kilos of pasta and boxes of apples, which they are also excited about. Their young siblings, parents, relatives, and community leaders benefited from the food, a few grocery items, and some used clothing.

As much as we want to encourage them through meeting a simple need, the main thing was to share Jesus Christ as the ultimate gift and the only hope of our lives. Worship from the lips of the kids stirred up our hearts, which impacted each of us until we went home. We came to bless and left being blessed.

This inaccessible group appreciates and is dazzled by the things we see as ordinary. Bringing these to this young generation inspires them to dream and hope. This helps them know that they are remembered and loved by God through you and me.

This was a different level of faith adventure.
It’s always exciting for me to do kind of extreme and thrilling physical activities, but it felt scary when the challenge was jumping off into a dream that is not financially sustained. My brain was budgeting and accounting without the funds.

I only got 2 months to prepare before the actual camp in Ormoc City, and needed to set up the venue and prepare the campers. Me and my mom got the plane tickets, but no money for the whole preparation. I was thinking that maybe I’ll just use my money, which was intended for paying my family’s bills, and I’ll just find a way to pay when I come back.

The night before the flight, I went to a grocery store to buy essentials for the trip. I’m sure that we are going but not sure what to spend there. While checking my phone, I saw my cousin’s name popping up and saw that she had sent a photo - it was a screenshot of a receipt! Looking at it closely, there’s a note “Donation” and it was sent to my bank account. My heart leaped and I almost cried, but I remembered I was in a mall, so I just paused for a while, thanking God. I continued walking around but could not get anything yet because I was caught up in the amazement of how God shows up in our needs. I continued praising God in my mind and heart throughout the night, knowing that His move is an affirmation to the vision that He gave me. It was His vision, and I am just His vessel.

We were picked up by my aunt and uncle (so we could ride a van or bus), who are the pastors of the church we are visiting, and it happened that their businessmen relatives were at the airport, who offered us a ride in their SUV in a 2.5-hour land trip. What an amazing God we have. He gave us provisions and made us comfortable.

The pre-camp was done! We found a prefect venue and paid for the reservation, prepared meals and snacks for the campers and church workers, provided fare and fuel for the follow-ups and other transactions. Wew! What a journey it is! I got the opportunity to see the fingerprints of God in this venture, and I am asking Him even right now that I will see more of it in my life. I believe you will too!

The picture was taken during the actual camp, with the campers waiting for their turn to receive their dinner. All of us are full in spirit and in food. God is good!

The Living God continues to inspire!

Around 200 sets of school supplies were distributed at the sites of Ormoc Servants of Christ Ministries in Ormoc City last July.

We thank all the workers who had given their time and effort for the activities and programs and for the continuous work of the Great Commission.

Psalm 24:3-6
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.[a]
They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Congratulations to our scholar!

Noel John Cachuela Ravelo
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Mats College of Technology
Batch 2024

Raised by a single mother who never wavered in her faith in her children's future, Noel John finished his 8-year college journey as a working student.

He is very familiar with sleepless nights due to juggling his responsibilities and used to delayed gratification. Sometimes felt like being left behind in life but chose to consistently maneuver his path in this season by the grace of our Living God.

“Kuya Moc” is one of the kids ministers who took the challenge of helping the next generation know our Lord Jesus Christ. Little did he know that his faithfulness in volunteering opened the door to a wonderful blessing that made his dream come true.

It may be slow, but it was sure. A dreamer. A finisher.
Video editor now plus a licensed engineer later.
God is faithful!

In February 2024 many parts of the Davao Region were flooded and around 60,000 families were affected in Davao del Norte alone. Some landslides caused the deaths of hundreds of people. The water rose above the houses making the people stay on their rooftops but some were destroyed. Government and private agencies/individuals made an effort to help the constituents, but many were displaced and have not yet recovered until now.

By God's grace, we know compassion and deep concern for people. We know that love is an action word and "generosity brings healing" (Source: The Journey of Generosity). With this, our team decided to take part in the relief goods operation with the help of individuals (who are even trying to get by in life) offered used clothes, toys, bed sheets, cash and fuel. Volunteers (from JLP) came to repack, transport, and distribute but the most important part is the encouragement through the Word of God and prayers for our fellow Filipinos.

February 17, we visited Purok 1, Barangay Busaon, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. Around 300 families received goods, 200 kids received loot bags with toys/slippers/school supplies, and another 300 kids in an elementary school received loot bags.

We heard numerous stories of their flood experiences as we approached them one by one and blessed them with prayers. "It took 5 days for the water to subside, we were staying on the rooftop," a mother said. Another shared how she tried to have a tug-of-war with the current to get her comforter/bed sheet, but it just ripped off. A daughter was worried about how she could take care of her paralyzed parent as they were soaked in for a long time. More stories moved them to tears as they shared.

As we prepared to depart, a group of mothers asked our Pastor to pray for them. They started to share their physical sicknesses/challenges and prayed for healing and strength.

So blessed to hear grateful people saying that it's like they went to the grocery store because they received a lot. "Makaluto na jud mi'g bulad maam kay naa nami mantika" a father said.

In all of these, we glorify God for as we give we are the most to receive. Daghang Salamat to our volunteers and donors for making these people glad and encouraged.

We continue to live. We continue to inspire.
