When God Allows a Thorn to Keep Us Humble

Kung naa ka sa season nga sige kag worry, anxiety, fear, or confusion bisan nagtarong ka sa imong walk with the Lord or nag-pray ka, nagbasa ka sa Scriptures, ug nag-spiritual warfare ka pero overwhelmed gihapon ka dili pasabot nga naa kay gibuhat nga sayop. Usahay God may allow a “thorn in the flesh” to humble us and remind us nga dili lang kita kinahanglan sa Ginoo, kinahanglan pud nato ang ubang tawo. Ayaw kaulaw nga magpa-pray. Allow people to give you godly advice, pray over you, and walk with you. And if needed seek help from a doctor or professional or ask support from your family kay usahay tungod kay naanad ta nga mahimong strong spiritually, maka-feel ta nga kaya ra nato tanan but God may allow certain seasons to remind us nga we were never meant to walk alone. The thorn keeps us humble. It reminds us that we need God and that God can also use people to help us so kung naa ka sa season of fear, worry, or anxiety ayaw kahadlok mangayo og tabang... Sometimes things become lighter when you simply open up and allow someone to walk with you. Maybe God is teaching you humility nga bisan unsa pa ka ka-strong sa Lord, you still need people too. As the Scripture says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” — James 5:16
