That’s a wrap for our whole-day Basic Evangelization Seminar! 💛

From learning and reflection to fellowship and sharing, our young servant-leaders spent the day growing deeper in faith and discovering what it truly means to serve, lead, and proclaim the Gospel.

May everything we learned today inspire us to become courageous disciples who proclaim the Good News and bring Christ’s love wherever we are called to serve. 🌱✝️

Sharing | After the introductory session, participants shared their reflections on what Evangelization personally means to them and how they bring Christ’s light through actions and words.

Beyond the three-fold mission of Evangelization such as Priestly, Prophetic and Kingly mission, there are challenges that most young people faces today. Throughout small group sharing of the Evangelization Seminar, participants shared their inputs on what Evangelization truly means to them as members of their respective ministries, the challenge it entails, and how they share God’s love through the service of others.

The San Pedro Poveda Parish Youth Apostolate will be conducting a whole-day Evangelization Seminar as part of the Basic Seminar series.

The Basic Evangelization Seminar is a dynamic formation program that provides young servant-leaders with the faith, knowledge, and skills necessary to serve in GKKs, parish ministries, and through community integration. The seminar further enables them to proclaim the Gospel through words and active discipleship grounded in evangelization, stewardship, and Christian leadership.

Whether you are a member of the Core Group, Youth Gift Bearer's Ministry, El Coro Youth Choir, or PSB/Asst PSB in your respective GKKs, this is your opportunity to deepen their faith through discipleship and discover how you can make a difference in the Church and in our communities.

ZONE YOUTH VISITATION
Sr. San Roque GKK, Gulayan

The San Pedro Poveda Parish Youth Apostolate once again organized a monthly Zone Youth Visitation, this time visiting the youth and children of Zone 1 at the host chapel, Sr. San Roque GKK, Gulayan, Catalunan Pequeño.

Today's Gospel, which is centered on Jesus' walking on water, reminds us to trust Christ in the face of fear and doubt, while also strengthening our commitment to sharing Saint Pedro Poveda's life, teachings, and legacy with the youth. Through fellowship, formation, mutual support, and collaboration, may we draw inspiration from the likes of Saint Pedro Poveda as an educator.

To quote Fr. Mervin’s Homily from the 9 Days Novena to Saint Pedro Poveda, “Let us continue doing small deeds, for these small deeds are meaningful in God’s kingdom." That in the littlest thing we do, the youth may grow in spirituality; through prayer, reflection, and community involvement.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Pangulo Sa Batan-on (PSBs) and the youth members of Zone 1, and most especially, to the GKK Servant Leaders (GSLs) of Sr. San Roque Chapel – Gulayan, for welcoming us in their humble chapel despite the hectic schedules and preparation ahead of Sr. San Roque's Feast Day.

May God continue to bless us as we carry on with nurturing our community through kindness, fellowship, and acts of love.

5th Parochial Fiesta of San Pedro Poveda Parish

Today, we joyfully celebrate the 5th Parochial Fiesta of San Pedro Poveda Parish and commemorate the Feast of the Martyrdom of our patron saint. Saint Pedro Poveda, through his mission works as a founder of Teresian Association, recognized the importance of education in the society. As St. John Paul II beautifully puts it during his homily on the 2003 canonization of Saint Pedro Poveda, “[Fr. Pedro Poveda] undertook an important humanitarian and educational task and brought evangelization and Christian education to the needy and marginalized. He was a master of prayer, a teacher of the Christian life and of the relationship between faith and knowledge, convinced that Christians must bring essential values and commitment to building a world that is more just and mutually supportive. His life ended with the crown of martyrdom.”

May we be motivated by the life of Saint Pedro Poveda, a priest, humanist, and educator who dedicated his entire life to the promotion of education and Christ-centered formation through the establishment of the Teresian Association. Happy Fiesta! 💛📚✨

PRAYER THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF SAINT PEDRO POVEDA:

Lord, our God,
you have given Saint Pedro Poveda,
Founder of the Teresian Association,
the grace of promoting the evangelizing action of Christians
through education and culture,
and of giving his life in martyrdom as a priest of Jesus Christ:
we ask that, like him, we may know
how to participate faithfully in the mission of the Church
through the witnessing of our Christian life
and the generous surrender to the announcement of your Kingdom.
