Gospel: Matthew 5:20–26
Jesus said to his disciples: "I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven."

Reflection
Getting angry may damage a person's dignity and reputation. However, the attitude of humility to accept responsibility and begin a reconciliation process can undo the damage done by angry words. Such attitude is also necessary in order to take part in a liturgical celebration. We must adopt this mindset if we are to find peace within, within our families, and within our communities.

Prayer
Gracious Father, please help us see your loving presence in others, so that we may avoid saying words that demean them. Amen.

Be holy before God.

Nanghupaw ug lawom si Jesus ug miingon, “Nganong nangita man ug ilhanan gikan sa Dios ang mga tawo niining panahona? Sultihan ko kamo nga walay ilhanan nga ipakita alang niining mga tawhana!”

Kada adlaw, gipahibalo ni Kristo ang iyang presensya kanato. Sa ato pa, ang krus maoy nag-una. Ang misteryo niini ug ang atong kaugalingong pagkadaotan mapadayag lamang pinaagi sa pagtuo. Ang sala mao ang tinubdan sa tanan natong mga kasamok, apan ang gilansang sa krus mao ang tambal. Sama sa maayong kawatan, pinaagi sa pagtuo, kita makakita sa gugma ni Kristo sa sentro sa uniberso, nga nagdani sa tanang butang ngadto kaniya susama sa usa ka magnet.

A l***r came to him and kneeling down begged him and said, "If you wish, you can make me clean."

Reflection
The l***r instructs us on the value of complete submission to the will of God. When approaching God, we should do so with a humble spirit, asking for what we believe while remaining cognizant of the fact that God sees the greater picture. Although the Lord is able to heal the worst-case situation, he is also able to create the greatest of invisible miracles, which is the sanctification of a person's soul through the exercise of faith, even when faith is difficult to exercise. Let us pray with the attitude of the l***r, asking the Lord to do as he pleases with our lives.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to keep the broader picture in mind and submit in loving obedience to the idea that a Christian lifestyle should be characterized by faith, hope, and love. Amen

Sa ikatulo ka adlaw may kasal didto sa lungsod sa Cana sa Galilea ug didto ang inahan ni Jesus. Gidapit usab si Jesus ug ang iyang mga tinun-an. Sa nahutdan na silag bino, ang inahan ni Jesus miingon kaniya, “Wala na silay bino.”

Reflection
Ang usa ka maayong inahan dili mohunong sa pagkabalaka alang sa iyang mga anak, ug mao kini ang kinaiya ni Maria. Para sa iya, ang iyang anak maoy naay gahum nga makahimo niini. Tungod kay siya mao ang balaan nga anak sa Dios, siya adunay gahum sa pag-tama sa mga butang. Sama ni Maria, kinahanglan kitang adunay pagtuo sa Diyos bisan kini dili makita ug mopadayon sa pagtuo ngadto sa wala mahibaloi.

Prayer
O Ginoo, nag-ampo ako nga hatagan mo ako sa grasya nga mahimong modelo sa akong kaugalingon sama ni Maria. Para mas masuod pako diha kanimo pinaagi niya, tabangi ako sa pagpangita niya kanunay. Amen.
