_Introduction_

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." - Psalm 46:1
Have you ever felt like your world is being shaken to its core? Like the storm raging outside, life's challenges can be overwhelming. But as Christians, we know that God is our rock, our refuge, and our strength.

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
We've all faced storms in life: loss, pain, fear, and uncertainty. The current typhoon devastating our country is a stark reminder of life's unpredictability. But in the midst of chaos, where can we find comfort?
_God's Presence in the Storm_

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea." - Psalm 46:1-3
"Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation." - Habakkuk 3:17-18

"Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." - Psalm 55:22
Imagine a child clinging to their father during a storm. The child doesn't understand the storm, but they trust their father's protection. Similarly, we can trust God's sovereignty and love.
_Trusting God's Sovereignty_
(Slide 4: Image of Isaiah 43:2-3)
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." - Isaiah 43:2-3
"We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
_Commentary:_ God's sovereignty is not about understanding why bad things happen, but trusting His character and purposes.
_Supporting One Another_
(Slide 5: Image of people supporting each other)
"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2
Let's:
- Pray together
- Share stories of hope
- Serve together
- Mourn together
_Conclusion_

"In every trial, God's presence is an assurance that He will bring us through, even when we cannot see the way." - Ellen G. White, "Steps to Christ," p. 117
As we navigate life's storms, remember: God is our refuge, strength, and ever-present help. Trust Him, and let's support each other in His love.
_Prayer_
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in the midst of this storm. Help us trust your sovereignty, presence, and love. Comfort us, guide us, and use us to comfort others. Amen.
