Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God,
and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The key to all of this is occupation with Christ or doctrine in the frontal lobe. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God” is another way to say, “Put doctrine first.” The kingdom of God is the total of Bible doctrine as it existed at that time; “and his righteousness” is comparable today to the filling of the Spirit; “and all these things [details of life] shall be added unto you” is dative of advantage. This means that we can live one day at a time and be relaxed because every day has been planned from before the foundation of the world.

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

“Let this mind be in you“ The word “this” which is a demonstrative pronoun is the object of the verb and it refers to resident doctrine in the soul of the believer. The word “mind” is a verb and the word is used for objective thinking which means Keep on thinking. You cannot think in your soul with things outside your soul. You cannot use the information in a textbook until it has been transferred into your soul where it is useable. You have to have information in your soul to use it. “which was also in Christ Jesus” This is how we happen to be the royal family of God and what makes our life so meaningful. At the point of salvation, everyone of us entered into a union with Christ and became royal family of God forever. We are to live like royalty, to think like royalty, to function like royalty, and therefore this wonderful phrase, “in Christ Jesus.”

Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law“ literally, a man does not receive justification “by the works of the law”. The works of the law refer to all operations of the energy of the flesh, specifically to trying to keep the commandments for salvation. The purpose of the law is to teach us that we are sinners and need a savior. We will see that we are dead to the law because of the nature of the law. The law killed us. And we are dead in trespasses and sins. So the law teaches us that we are sinners but the law cannot save us. “but by the faith of Jesus Christ,“ Faith implies the absence of human merit and therefore it is in keeping with the concept of grace. Any member of the human race; the object in salvation is always Christ, never Christ plus the law, never the law, never circumcision; it is always the Lord Jesus Christ because He is the one who died on the cross for our sins and provided eternal salvation.
