Knights Of The Altar - Assumption of Our Lady Shrine Parish Serve the Lord with gladness Our goal is to preserve the sanctity of the Mass and foster a welcoming, prayerful atmosphere for our fellow parishioners.

By supporting the clergy during liturgical celebrations and emulating the devotional and reverent mood, altar servers play a crucial role in our parish community. We find comradery and support among the other servers in this sacred ministry. We support one another in our pursuit of ways to deepen and enhance our knowledge of the liturgy, our faith, and our spiritual growth. We become a family, bou

nd by our shared devotion, and develop a bond that transcends the boundaries of the church. Serving as an altar server is a journey of growth and learning. Being active participants in the divine mysteries as they unfold in front of us is not just a task, but a meaningful vocation. We advance with humility and grace, carrying the torch of faith and performing our duties with the utmost precision and diligence. In the same manner as the Ministries of Lectors & Holy Communion, the Ministry of Altar Servers are appointed on a temporary basis, thus, they are commissioned, rather than instituted. Altar Servers are not to be confused with the instituted acolytes. In the Dioceses of the Philippines, these ministers are to be referred to as Altar Servers. (i.e., not sacristans, acolytes, or knights of the altar)
