Israel is not just a chosen nation — she is the Lord's own peculiar treasure. The word "peculiar" in the original Hebrew carries the meaning of a prized possession, something of great and special value set apart exclusively for its owner. God does not merely tolerate Israel — He treasures her. In a world that increasingly turns its back on Israel, let us be among those who stand with the nation that God Himself calls His treasure.

Out of all the places on the face of the earth, God chose Zion — Jerusalem — as His dwelling place. Not by accident, not by coincidence, but by divine desire and sovereign choice. Zion holds a place in the heart of God that no other city on earth can claim. It is the city where God placed His name, where His glory dwelt, and where His redemptive plan for all of humanity unfolded. As we draw ever closer to this night of prayer, let us lift up Zion — the city of God — and intercede for her peace, her protection, and her glory.

This was not based on their size, their strength, or their merit — it was solely by the sovereign grace and love of God. To be chosen by the Creator of the universe is the highest honor any nation could ever receive, and God has bestowed this upon Israel.

God is making a profound declaration here — that Israel's existence as a nation is as certain and as permanent as the sun, the moon, and the stars. As long as the heavens remain, Israel shall remain. This is not a political statement — this is a divine decree from the God who created the universe. Despite centuries of persecution, displacement, and attempts at annihilation, Israel still stands as a nation today. Not by the power of man, but by the sovereign and unchanging Word of God. Let us come together and pray for this nation that God Himself has pledged to preserve forever.

The God who set the sun in its place, who ordained the moon and the stars, who commands the roaring waves of the sea — this is the God who stands watch over Israel. He is not a limited or local deity; He is the Lord of hosts, the Commander of heaven's armies, the Sovereign over all creation. And this same almighty God has bound Himself in covenant to Israel. If He can sustain the universe by the word of His power, how much more can He sustain and protect His chosen people. Let us come before this great God in prayer for Israel.

"For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God."— 2 Samuel 7:24 KJV

These were the words of King David as he marveled at the faithfulness of God toward Israel. God did not merely choose Israel for a season — He confirmed them as His own people forever. And in doing so, He declared Himself to be their God. This is a relationship unlike any other in human history — a divine and eternal bond between the Creator and His chosen nation. As we reach the halfway point of our countdown, let us be stirred in our hearts to pray with greater fervor for the people whom God has called His own.

The covenant that began with Abraham, reaffirmed to Isaac, was now confirmed to Jacob — and through Jacob, to the nation of Israel as an everlasting covenant. God did not merely make a promise; He established it as a law, an unbreakable decree that transcends time and generations. Israel is not just a nation among nations — she is the chosen bearer of God's everlasting covenant.
