GRACE THAT HOLDS, JUSTICE THAT LEADS
God’s Love and Justice
“But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” — Psalms 86:15
God is loving. God is merciful. God is gracious.
But here’s the truth we sometimes forget— He is also just.
And minsan doon tayo nahihirapan umintindi.
If God is loving… why is there suffering? why is there pain? why do difficult things happen—even to believers?
History reminds us how broken this world can be. During the (1939–1945), around six million Jews suffered and died. It’s a painful reminder that evil and human choices have real consequences. Yet even in humanity’s darkest moments, God remains sovereign and just.
In 2 Kings 17:7–23, we see how the Israelites repeatedly disobeyed God. They were described as stubborn or “stiff-necked.” Hindi dahil galit ang Diyos kaya Siya nagdi-discipline—kundi dahil mahal Niya ang Kanyang bayan at ayaw Niyang tuluyang mapahamak sila.
Sometimes, God allows consequences not to destroy us — but to correct us, redirect us, and bring us back.
Minsan ang suffering ay:
• Result ng broken world
• Result ng choices ng iba
• Result ng sarili nating decisions
• Or part ng process na ginagamit ng Diyos to shape us
But one thing is constant — God is still loving.
In Jeremiah 30:3, God promised restoration. sa bayang Israel.
In Isaiah 53:5, we are reminded that through Him, there is healing.
Even today, marami pa ring forms ng suffering:
✨ In sickness — minsan God allows it to slow us down, to remind us that our body is His temple. He teaches us stewardship, discipline, and dependence on Him. At sa gitna ng karamdaman, hindi nawawala ang promise na Siya ang healer natin.
✨ In accidents and unexpected tragedies — we’re reminded how fragile life is. God calls us to grow in wisdom, to make careful choices, and to value every day He gives. Hindi lahat kontrolado natin, but we can trust the One who is in control.
In both pain and uncertainty, hindi tayo pinapabayaan ng Diyos.
Suffering is not always punishment. Sometimes it is protection.
Sometimes it is redirection.
Sometimes it is preparation.
But always — God remains loving, faithful, and just. ❤️
Four Biblical Reasons God Allows Righteous Suffering:
1️⃣ To prove our faith is genuine
2️⃣ To develop Christlike character
3️⃣ To accomplish His greater purpose
4️⃣ To prepare us for eternal glory
The real question is not just, “Lord, why is this happening?”
But also, “Lord, what are You forming in me through this?”
Even in sickness and accidents, even in pain and uncertainty, may promise ang Diyos.
“For I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
— Romans 8:18
Ang suffering ngayon is real. Masakit. Mahirap.
But it is not the end of the story.
May glory after the pain.
May joy after the tears.
May purpose beyond the process.
His grace still holds.
His justice still leads.
And His love never fails. ❤️
