“Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures.” (Luke 24:45)
How can I be sure I am reading the Bible correctly?
The disciples knew the scriptures, but they did not understand the scriptures. That is, they did not see Jesus in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.
What you look through determines what you see. If you think the Bible is a rulebook for living, you will see rules on every page. Your mind will be closed to the reality of Christ.
But if you believe the Bible is the revelation of Jesus, you will see Jesus on every page.
The Holy Spirit seeks to reveal Jesus to us through the Scriptures (see John 15:26). If reading the Bible causes you to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, you can be sure that we have heard what the Spirit is saying.

Day.6 | Grace Is the Power to Overcome
Sin
"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."
- Romans 6:14 NKJV

More rules won't make you more holy, only more of
Jesus will.

The law can show you what's wrong, but it can't make you right. Only Grace can do that. Titus 2:11-12 says it's Grace that teaches us to say no to sin—not fear and not shame. Grace empowers what the law never could.
Sin loses its grip when your eyes are on Jesus.
He's not demanding perfection from you-He already gave you His and when you know you're loved, you'll experience your freedom.

So if you've been trying to "do better," maybe today's the day you stop trying and start trusting.
You're not under the law but under Grace and Grace has never lost a battle.
