Today, we honor Saint Augustine of Hippo—one of the Church’s greatest bishops, theologians, and Doctors of the Church. His remarkable journey reminds us that no restless heart, complicated past, or wandering soul is beyond the transforming grace and mercy of God. 🙏

Augustine spent years searching for truth and fulfillment. Through God’s grace, Sacred Scripture, the teaching of Saint Ambrose, and the persevering prayers of his mother, Saint Monica, his restless search ultimately led him home to Jesus Christ. ❤️‍🔥

His life reminds us that conversion is not simply leaving our past behind—it is allowing Christ to transform our hearts, redirect our lives, and lead us toward holiness.

Saint Augustine, great Bishop and Doctor of the Church, you searched restlessly for truth until your heart found its peace in God.

Pray for us that we may seek Christ above all things, turn away from sin, and allow His grace to transform our hearts.

🙏 **PRAY FOR NEPAL 🇳🇵**

In this time of tragedy and uncertainty, we unite our hearts in prayer for the people of Nepal—especially the families affected by the devastating floods and landslides, those who have lost loved ones and homes, and all rescuers and volunteers working tirelessly to bring help and hope.

May the Lord grant **protection to those still in danger, comfort to the grieving, healing to the injured, strength to the rescuers, and courage to every family rebuilding their lives.**

As one community of faith, may we also be reminded of our responsibility to care for God’s creation and to extend compassion and assistance to our brothers and sisters in need.

Today, we honor Saint Monica, a faithful mother whose life reminds us to NEVER LOSE HOPE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER. 🙏

For many years, Saint Monica prayed with tears, patience, and unwavering faith for the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine. Though the answer seemed far away, she continued to trust in God's mercy. In God's perfect time, her prayers bore beautiful fruit.

📖 “Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer.”

Saint Monica teaches us that faithful prayer is never wasted. When we pray for our children, spouses, parents, friends, and loved ones who may have wandered from the faith, we are called not to surrender to discouragement but to continue loving, hoping, trusting, and praying. ❤️

MY FAITH NEWS | Pope Leo XIV appoints Knights of Columbus leader to Vatican dicastery.

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Dr. Patrick E. Kelly, Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus, as a member of the Vatican’s Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life.

The Holy See Press Office announced the appointment on Tuesday, August 25.

Kelly, who has served as Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus since 2021, leads the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, which has millions of members across several countries.

The Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life is responsible for promoting the life and vocation of lay faithful, supporting families and encouraging young people to actively participate in the life and mission of the Catholic Church.

As a member of the dicastery, Kelly will contribute to the Vatican’s work concerning the laity, family life and young people.

The appointment adds to Kelly’s responsibilities in his leadership of the Knights of Columbus, whose members are involved in charitable, faith-based and community initiatives worldwide.

When Philip invited him to meet Jesus with the simple words, “Come and see,” Bartholomew encountered the One who already knew his heart. That encounter transformed him from a seeker of truth into a faithful disciple and courageous witness of Christ.
