It is built on friendships.

CFC-Kids for Christ grows mainly through the establishment of CFC-KFC in areas and parishes with Couples for Christ (CFC) or another CFC ministry already present. CFC-Kids for Christ is overseen by the CFC Family Ministries Director, currently Melo Villaroman, Jr. CFC-KFC is directly governed by the KFC International Coordinator, currently Nic Escalona Jr. Locally, CFC-KFC is overseen by KFC Couple Coordinators, CFC members who have volunteered to serve in CFC-KFC. Couple Coordinators report directly to the CFC Chapter Head for CFC-KFC pastoral formation, training, and finances.

CFC Kids for Christ (KFC) is a family ministry of Couples for Christ (CFC). It is a means of supporting CFC’s mission of bringing families back to the plan of God by providing an environment that would assist the CFC parents in fulfilling this mission. As a response to Jesus’ call, CFC Kids for Christ will help the children enjoy a relationship with Jesus Christ in an environment that is fun and life-giving in the company of their friends, and create an atmosphere where Christian values can be shared, practiced, developed, and experienced. CFC Kids for Christ aims to provide a Christian support environment for kids of Couples for Christ members between the ages of 4-12. Owing to the wide age range covered by the ministry, we have set programs for the Junior Kids, those of ages 4 to 8 and the Senior Kids, those of ages 9 to 12. Realizing that a program for kids needs to be simply understood, exciting and fun-filled, we have put a premium on four characteristics for our Kids for Christ program:

KFC believes that to be able to build an attractive environment to the kids, the program should have the “ 4F ” principle:

Fun
It is fun. Activities are enjoyable and they stimulate the child’s creativity, perception, and sensitivity. Activities encourage the members to build strong friendships with one another. Faith
It enhances the faith. Activities are geared towards their relationship with God explain Christian faith elements in kids language. Freedom
It allows, free but responsible expression. Activities respect the kids for who and what they are and who and what they can be.

𝟏𝟕𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄

Yesterday, the 𝗖𝗙𝗖 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 – 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆, together with our brothers and sisters from 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 – 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆 and the 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, came together as 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀, sharing God’s love through simple acts of kindness, generosity, and service.

This year’s 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 reminded us that sharing the joy we receive from Christ can be as simple as a helping hand, a generous heart, or a willingness to serve.

More than a day of service, it was a celebration of community, faith, and love—living out our call to be 𝗢𝗡𝗘 with the Lord and with one another.

May we continue to share Christ’s joy and be 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 wherever we are.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗙𝗖 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 – 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗮𝘆, in continuous collaboration with the 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, conducted a 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 today, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗽𝗶 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The kids listened to the Gospel story of 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, where He reminded His disciples not to be afraid because He was with them.

As part of the activities, the 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 took on the 𝘽𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙣’𝙨 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚, while the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 participated in the 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚. Through these activities, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀.

In Find the Fear, the kids identified their fears and threw the words into a trash can as a symbol of letting go of their fears. Meanwhile, the Blind Man’s Walk taught them to trust their guide even when they could not see what was ahead.

May these activities remind us that we do not have to face our fears alone. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀.

𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐮 from the 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐞 showed great commitment in taking care of his 𝐏𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 as he took on the 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐆𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 from our previous assembly.

His dedication in nurturing and caring for his plant is a beautiful representation of obedience—choosing to follow through with a responsibility and caring for something entrusted to him.

Through his simple act, Kuya Marlou reminds us that 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Last Sunday, August 2, 2026, the 𝐂𝐅𝐂 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 – 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐲 conducted a 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 at St. Dominic De Guzman Parish in Sto. Domingo, Albay.

𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐡 led the session by sharing the story of 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫. Through this, she reminded the kids to 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬, 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲.

The kids also took on the challenge through the 𝐁𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 activity, where they learned to trust and become more confident as they navigated various obstacles while blindfolded.

Ate Yvanah later reminded the children that despite being young, they should never be afraid. Instead, they should grow in courage and confidence through prayer, knowing that God is always with them.

Through this activity, we are reminded that prayer allows us to experience God's love and care more deeply, giving us the confidence to face life's challenges.

To reinforce the lesson, the 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, while the 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱'𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲.

The session ended with a reflection on 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. The Kids were encouraged to pray daily, read the Bible, attend Holy Mass with their families, and obey their parents as ways of following Jesus.

May this activity continue to inspire us to listen to God's Word, live it with obedience, and grow as faithful followers of Christ. As we all proclaim, "𝗜 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗬 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦!".

The 𝐂𝐅𝐂 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 – 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐲, in continuous collaboration with the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, and the 𝐃𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐞, conducted a 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 or the so called 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, last July 5, 2026, at the 𝐒𝐭. 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐩𝐢 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐲.

During the session, 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐞𝐦 shared the story of the Parable of the Sower, reminding the children of the Gospel message that 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧, 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝'𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬. She emphasized that 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.

The children were encouraged to always be ready to do what is good and right without hesitation. They also learned about the meaning of “𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 “and how it helps us recognize our mistakes, turn away from wrongdoing, and strive to become better followers of Christ.

As part of the KFC Heroes Challenge, the kids were encouraged to care for the environment, recognizing that the Earth is God's gift and our shared home. They were reminded that caring for creation is one way of showing love and obedience to Jesus.

Through the said activity, may we all become joyful disciples of Jesus —one who listens to His Word, obeys His teachings, and shares His love with others. 𝐀𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦, "𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐲 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬!"
