Nawa’y patuloy tayong pag-alabin ng Banal na Espiritu upang maging buhay na saksi ng pananampalataya, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahalan sa ating pamayanan.

To God be all the glory!

OFFICIAL INSTALLATION OF THE PARISH COMMISSION ON MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS

The members of the Commission on Media and Communications of the Our Lady of the Gate Parish (Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Porteria) officially took their oaths at the official installation of the ministry during the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, as well as the 60th World Day of Social Communications, on May 17, 2026.

Fr. Argie Salvador G. Nuarin, the spiritual director of the said commission, spearheaded the endeavor.

Admittedly, this ceremony marks the official commencement of a more dynamic approach toward spreading the gospel beyond traditional horizons. This installation imposes both an honor and a responsibility to continuously uphold Christian values in all works, communications, publications, and social media engagements. Mabuhay, communicators!

The Commission on Social Communications of the Our Lady of the Gate Parish (Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Porteria) is brimming with immense pride and gratitude, as it officially releases the film it presented during the Catholic Content Festival 2026 last May 15, 2026.

An mga istoryang ini iyo an mga panalmingan ta bilang mga Kristiyanong nagsasamba sa Diyos. Iba-iba man an pandok, an pinaghalian, asin an mga pinanghuhugutan, saro man sana an misyon ta gabos - an magpadagos sa pagtubod asin pagserbi.

May this ten-minute film further kindle our existing commitment to perform our duties inside the church. Let us continue being the spark of both hope and love — not solely for ourselves but most importantly for the Lord and the community we are serving.

Members of the Music, LECCOM, and Social Communications Ministries as well as specific individuals from the Ministry of Altar Servers, the Mother Butlers Guild, the Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy
Communion, Greeters and Collectors, and Catechists share their different experiences inside their respective hubs as they navigate their multifaceted lives.

Heavenly Father,
thank You for the precious gift of mothers.
Bless them with good health, strength, peace, and lasting joy.
Reward their sacrifices, unconditional love, and faithful prayers for their families.
May they always feel appreciated, cherished, and guided by Your grace.
We also lift up to You all mothers who are struggling, those longing to become mothers, and the mothers who have gone before us into eternal life.
Through the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
protect, comfort, and strengthen them always.
Amen.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures! 💐💕

As we approach the celebratory phase of our 75th Jubilee, the Commission on Worship is pleased to present a series of activities in preparation for this significant milestone in the life of our local Church.

Anchored on the Jubilee theme “BINIYAYAAN, INAANTABAYAN, SINUSUGO Simbahan na Nagpapasalamat sa Malaad na Pagtubod sa 75 Taon na Pagbaklay bilang sarong Simbahan na Lokal kaiba ni Inâ”, these initiatives seek to deepen our gratitude for God’s abundant grace, to trustingly recognize His constant guidance throughout our journey, and to renew our missionary commitment as a worshiping community.

While mindful of current adverse economic conditions brought on by the Middle East conflict, the corruption scandals in our national government, moral degradation in our society, and a general “collective quiet desperation,” we trust in God’s providence and hope that through these activities, we are able to foster a deeper appreciation of the sacred liturgy, and strengthen the formation of our liturgical ministers. Through these activities, we also highlight that now, more than ever, we need a deeper knowledge of and relationship with God to live out more fully our call to active participation in Christian life and worship and our Church’s mission.

The Bishop of Legazpi announces the celebration of Pentecost Sunday (May 24, 2026) and SAKOP Sunday / Trinity Sunday (May 31, 2026).

This year, the Pentecost celebration will be decentralized and entrusted to the parish level to promote greater participation, deeper ownership, and more active involvement of the faithful.

Parishes will also celebrate BEC/SAKOP Day, gathering small ecclesial communities as one family of faith—sharing experiences, gifts, and strengthening communion in parish life.

All parishes are encouraged to organize simple, spirit-filled, and mission-driven celebrations, aligned with the Diocesan Diamond Jubilee theme and the Year of Mission, and to foster the active involvement of lay faithful, communities, ministries, and organizations.

Let us celebrate these days as one Church—called to walk together in faith and service.

Prayer for the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker (May 1)

Heavenly Father,
On this day, we honor St. Joseph the Worker,
a model of humility, dedication, and faithful service.

Bless all workers everywhere—
those who labor with their hands and minds,
those who struggle to provide for their families,
and those seeking work and stability.

Like St. Joseph, may we find dignity in our daily tasks,
strength in times of hardship,
and joy in serving others with love.

Guide us to be responsible, patient, and faithful
in all that we do,
offering our work as a prayer to You.

St. Joseph the Worker,
pray for us and inspire us
to build a better world through honest labor and trust in God.

Amen.
