On this blessed Palm Sunday, the faithful of Saint Augustine Chapel, Sulangon gathered in unity and prayer for the solemn blessing of the lukay, led by Rev. Fr. Mario Beltan Patangan. As we commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, the waving of palm fronds reflects our joyful welcome and deep reverence for our Savior.
The lukay, in its simplicity, carries a profound meaning, it symbolizes our faith, our gratitude, and our willingness to welcome Christ into our lives. More than a tradition, it is a sacred reminder of hope, protection, and Godโs abiding presence in our homes and hearts.
May this Palm Sunday inspire us to walk humbly with the Lord, to open our hearts with sincerity, and to carry His love beyond the chapel and into our daily lives. As we bring the blessed lukay home, may it remind us that Godโs grace continues to guide and protect us through every step of our journey.
