Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of our Lenten journey, a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. It is a time for us to pause, reflect, and return to God with sincere and humble hearts. As we receive the blessed ashes on our foreheads, we are reminded of our human frailty and our constant need for God’s mercy and grace.

This day calls us to repentance, renewal, and deeper conversion. It invites us to strengthen our relationship with the Lord through prayer, make sacrifices out of love, and extend charity to those in need. May this season of Lent be an opportunity for spiritual growth and transformation for each one of us.

We warmly invite all parishioners and faithful to join us in the celebration of the Holy Mass and the imposition of ashes.

Dan pinaagi niining usa sa mga punto sa iyang homiliya atol sa ikaduhang adlaw sa Misa De Gallo, nga niining ikaduhang adlaw, bisan pa sa atong pagka-dili hingpit, gipili gihapon kita sa atong Ginoo. Sa tanang panahon, Iya kitang gidawat ug gipili, dili tungod kay perpekto kita, kondili tungod kay Iya kitang gihigugma. Ang Iyang pagpili dili limitado, apil ang tanan ug walay kondisyon. Kini nga gugma mao ang atong kusog sa pagbangon ug pagpadayon sa pagtuo diha sa atong panaw uban sa Dios. 😇

PANINGKAMOT ARON SA LANGIT MAKAABOT | “Wala man moingon ang Ginoo nga diyutay ra ang maluwas kay I’m sure ang Ginoo nasayod nga kon iya ng isulti, daghan ang ma-discourage. Unsaon nalang kon gamay ra ang maluwas? Sigurado daghan di maapil kay perting badlungona, tapulana, maapil sa mga tsismis, pagpanglibak.

Wala pod siya moingon nga ayg kabalaka kay daghan ang maluwas. Nasayod pod siya nga kon iya ng isulti, daghan nato modako ang ulo, mokompyansa, di na magtagad sa angay nga buhaton, di maminaw sa kabubut-on sa Ginoo.

Unsa man diay gisulti sa Ginoo para di ta mawad-an og paglaum unya di pod ta mag-abuso?

Ingun siya, paningkamot kamo pagsulod sa sigpit ng pultahan.

Paningkamot, ayaw pagtapol, ayaw balewalaa. Make a conscious effort. Kada adlaw, paningkamot, pagtinguha nga makabuhat ka sa kabubut-on sa Ginoo.

Dili baratuhon ang langit. Di mani ingon nga ipang-sale lang ni diha. Precious jewel kana. Pinakadako nga bahandi. Mao na ato sad ipakita nga maningkamot ta makasulod sa gingharian sa Diyos.

Way lain nga bahandi nga makatupong ani kay dinhi ato makauban ang Ginoo sa kahangturan. Unya imo diay na sayun-sayunon? Hayahaya man ka.

Maningkamot man gani ka makasulod sa mahalong hotel. Maningkamot man gani ka makasakay og nindot nga sakyanan. Unya kini na nuon, langit nani, di ka maningkamot?
