CHILDREN’S CONGRESS 2026 PREPARATION | In preparation for the upcoming Children’s Congress this May 30, 2026, the PYCC gathered to begin the packing of school supplies and bags for the young participants. Through the collective effort and generosity of the community, these materials are being prepared to ensure that every child receives a meaningful and joyful welcome during the congress. ✨🎒

This initiative was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Mayor Nelin “Bembi” Tambis and Mr. Rey Tambis, whose kindness and support continue to inspire hope and encouragement among the children. Their generosity serves as a reminder that simple acts of giving can create lasting smiles and meaningful experiences for the youth. 🩵📚

This preparation is only one part of the many meaningful activities and blessings being prepared for the children in celebration of the Children’s Congress 2026. In partnership with the PPC and Chapel Leaders, more programs, experiences, and surprises are being organized to make this gathering a memorable encounter filled with faith, joy, friendship, and love.

As the Children’s Congress draws near, may these preparations become a reflection of our shared mission to guide children closer to faith, learning, community, and the love of God. 🤍🌸

PENITENTIAL SERVICE | In the afternoon, after the talk about the Ten Commandments, a solemn penitential service took place. It was a time to reflect on themselves and their doings.

This solemn activity touched the hearts of our youth volunteer catechists. Many were moved. It made each one look deeper into themselves.

This happened during the second Saturday session of our youth volunteer catechists in the parish.

May this experience stay in the hearts of everyone and guide us to do better as we teach the teachings of our Lord. 🙏

DAY TWO || SUMMER CATECHISTS 🌿✨

Today unfolded gently with prayer, as voices came together in quiet reverence, grounding each heart in purpose. This was followed by an action song and a recap led by the chosen catechists from the previous Saturday, filling the space with both reflection and joy.

The morning then continued with Mrs. Maria Ludivina L. Cariego guiding the participants through a heartfelt discussion on the Ten Commandments—not merely as rules to remember, but as truths to be lived. Each word invited the youth catechists to look deeper, to understand, and to carry these teachings beyond the session.

As morning shifts into the afternoon, laughter and movement soon followed. Catechists learned, danced, and sang action songs. A simple yet powerful expressions of faith that they, in turn, will one day share with the children they are called to teach.

Afterwards, the discussion carried on, allowing the message of the commandments to settle more deeply—not just in mind, but in heart.

And as the day drew to a close, one truth lingered: that being a catechist is more than standing in front of a class. It is a quiet calling to guide, to nurture, and to become a living reflection of God’s love in the lives of others. 💖

IT'S A WRAP! | A big thank you to all our Youth Volunteer Catechists!

Today, we ended our Seminar-Workshop under the Vicariate of San Guillermo de Aquitania by giving each attendee a Certificate of Participation. This happened at the PPC Hall of San Guillermo de Aquitania Parish in Dalaguete, the same place where the seminar was being held.

We are truly grateful to everyone who came and took part actively. Your willingness to learn and serve did not go unnoticed. This certificate is a small but sincere way of saying "thank you" for your time, energy, and faith.

You made this journey of faith more meaningful. Keep on serving the Lord and its people. 🙏💙

AFTERNOON SESSION | Mga Bulak Alang Kang Maria: A Journey of Faith– May Catechesis for Children 🌸✨️

The afternoon session started with the Leron Leron Sinta energizer, bringing back energy and smiles to everyone. It created a light and joyful atmosphere, helping everyone feel more ready and connected for the next activities.

Each parish then presented and shared their SUGA, showing their ideas and efforts as youth catechists. It became a moment of learning from one another. San Isidro Labrador Parish (Mantalongon), together with Floyd Eco, was chosen to demo their SUGA. Giving a simple yet inspiring example to all.

The session ended with heartfelt words of gratitude from Ms. Ma. Gisell Almagro—leaving everyone inspired to continue serving. 💖

MORNING SESSION | Mga Bulak Alang Kang Maria: A Journey of Faith – May Catechesis for Children 🌸✨️

The morning unfolded in quiet reverence as the Seminar-Workshop for Youth Volunteer Catechists opened with a prayer, gently gathering everyone into a shared space of faith and purpose. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome from our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Stephen N. Anore, who warmly greeted the participants from different parishes under the Vicariate of San Guillermo de Aquitania—each one carrying their own stories, yet united in one mission.

Setting the tone for the day, Mrs. Yvonne B. Moran led a meaningful discussion on the spirituality of a catechist. Her words invited everyone to look inward—reminding them that beyond methods and teaching, catechesis is first and foremost a calling rooted in faith, prayer, and a genuine relationship with God.

As the program continued, Rev. Fr. Ralph Perez, Parish Priest of Sta. Monica Parish in Cawayan, Dalaguete, guided everyone into a deeper appreciation of the program through his presentation of its overview and rationale. His words offered not just clarity, but a sense of direction—grounding the participants in the “why” behind their presence.

The morning then shifted into a more engaging and participative space as Mr. Floyd Alcontin Eco and Ms. Mary Angel Amate introduced the SUGA Methodology, a catechetical approach from the Archdiocese of Cebu Catechetical Ministry (ACCM). With patience and encouragement, they walked the catechists through this new way of teaching, eventually inviting them to bring it to life by creating and presenting their own adaptations—transforming learning into something lived and shared.

Amid the activity and collaboration, a moment of reflection came through a video message from the Most Rev. Archbishop Alberto “Abet” Uy. His words gently echoed through the room, encouraging everyone to remain joyful, patient, and prayerful in their mission. More than instruction, it felt like a quiet reminder—that catechists are not only called to teach the faith, but to live it, to embody it, and to share it with hearts full of sincerity and love. 🤍

THIS MORNING || PART 1 || In preparation for Flores de Mayo, a Seminar-Workshop for our Summer Youth Catechists was held today, April 18, 2026, at the Parish Social Hall of San Guillermo de Aquitania Parish Church. Guided by Mrs. Yvonne Moran and accompanied by the Parish Catechist Ministry, the day unfolded through enriching discussions, shared reflections, and engaging activities that nurtured both their knowledge and spiritual readiness.

Smiles, laughter, and grateful hearts filled the parish as the celebration continued with the giving of raffle door prizes and the exchange of gifts, reminding everyone that the true joy of Christmas is found in sharing and togetherness.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our beloved Municipal Mayor, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐁𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐢ñ𝐚-𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐬, for her "𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒊𝒈 𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒂 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒂". Her generosity brought joy and warmth to our parish family.

Indeed, every gift— whether big or small— became a symbol of love, blessing, and the spirit of giving this Christmas season. 🤍✨
