MORE THAN ENOUGH
____________________

In the story of the feeding of the 5,000, the bread and fish didn’t multiply while the boy was still holding onto them.
The miracle happened when he let go and placed them in Jesus’ hands.

It’s the same for you.

Your limited time.
Your talents that feel not enough.
Your faith that sometimes trembles.

When you release them and entrust them to God,
He multiplies what you surrender.

You don’t have to be “enough.”
You just have to trust the One who is more than enough.

---
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
- 2 Corinthians 9:8

A Happy and Blessed Easter every-Juan! 💞

CHRIST IS RISEN! ALLELUIA!

Christ is risen—the darkness is overcome, and death has lost its sting.

From the silence of the tomb springs forth new life, a victory not only for Him, but for all who believe. What was once sorrow is now transformed into joy, and hope is restored to the world.

Alleluia!

EASTER VIGIL BEGINS!

Did you know that the Easter Vigil is the most beautiful and sacred vigil in the Roman Catholic Church?

Celebrated on the night of Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil is not just another liturgy—it is the mother of all vigils, the most solemn and meaningful celebration of the entire Church year. It is the night when darkness gives way to light, when silence is broken by joyful praise, and when the Church proclaims with certainty: Christ is risen!

The celebration begins in darkness, symbolizing a world waiting in hope. Then, the Paschal Candle is lit, representing Christ as the Light of the world who conquers sin and death. As the flame is passed from one candle to another, the entire church is gradually filled with light—a powerful reminder that even the smallest flame of faith can overcome the deepest darkness.

The Vigil continues with the Liturgy of the Word, where we journey through salvation history—from creation, to the crossing of the Red Sea, to the promises of the prophets—leading us to the Resurrection. It is a beautiful reminder that God has always been at work, guiding His people toward redemption.

Then comes the Liturgy of Baptism, where new members are welcomed into the Church, and all the faithful renew their baptismal promises. It is a moment of renewal, a call to leave behind sin and embrace new life in Christ.

Finally, the celebration reaches its peak in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, where we encounter the Risen Lord.

Truly, the Easter Vigil is a night unlike any other—a night of transformation, hope, and victory. It is not just to be observed, but to be experienced.

On Good Friday, the entire Church fixes her gaze on the Cross at Calvary. Each member of the Church tries to understand at what cost Christ has won our redemption. In the solemn ceremonies of Good Friday, in the Adoration of the Cross, in the chanting of the 'Reproaches', in the reading of the Passion, and in receiving the pre-consecrated Host, we unite ourselves to our Savior, and we contemplate our own death to sin in the Death of our Lord.

The Church - stripped of its ornaments, the altar bare, and with the door of the empty tabernacle standing open - is as if in mourning. In the fourth century the Apostolic Constitutions described this day as a 'day of mourning, not a day of festive joy,' and this day was called the 'Pasch (passage) of the Crucifixion.'

The liturgical observance of this day of Christ's suffering, crucifixion and death evidently has been in existence from the earliest days of the Church. No Mass is celebrated on this day, but the service of Good Friday is called the Mass of the Presanctified because Communion (in the species of bread) which had already been consecrated on Holy Thursday is given to the people.

The omission of the prayer of consecration deepens our sense of loss because Mass throughout the year reminds us of the Lord's triumph over death, the source of our joy and blessing. The desolate quality of the rites of this day reminds us of Christ's humiliation and suffering during his Passion.[source: CNA]

Paschal Triduum

Paschal Triduum

March 23, 2026 | With hearts full of gratitude and faith, St. John’s Cathedral School Incorporated gathered as one community for their Baccalaureate Mass for the school year 2025–2026; it was solemnly presided over by Rev. Msgr. Manuel S. Bravo Jr. at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral.

In this sacred moment, they offered their struggles, dreams, and achievements to God, trusting in His divine plan for their better and bright future. Guided by His love and light, they are reminded that every step they take is never alone and that His love will continue to lead them beyond the walls of their school. As they close this meaningful chapter of their lives, they carry with them not only knowledge but also the values and faith that were nurtured within them.

Through prayers and thanksgiving, the St. John's Cathedral School community witnesses a journey full of love, joy, hope, and unwavering trust in God. Indeed, this is not just an ending for them but a beautiful beginning—where faith will always be their guide in everything and His grace their constant companion.

Grand Rosary Mass Rally 2026
Mary, Queen of Peace

March 6, 2026 | Students from St. John’s Cathedral School, Incorporated, together with young people from different parishes and schools, gathered in faith during the Grand Rosary Mass Rally for Peace held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.

As one community, the youth joined in praying the Holy Rosary and celebrating the Holy Mass, offering intentions for peace in our hearts, in our communities, and in the world through the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The gathering reminded us that even in the midst of our busy lives as students, prayer continues to unite us and strengthen our faith.

THIRD SUNDAY OF LENT | John 4:5-42

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
