What kind of church can God entrust with new territory?

Joshua 3 reminds us that before God leads His people into new territory, He prepares them first.

He teaches them to keep their eyes on His Presence.
He calls them to consecrate themselves.
He reveals Himself as the Living God.
And He invites them to walk in obedience.

The Jordan was never the destination.
The miracle was never the destination.

The greatest revelation was this:

“The Living God is among you.”

And perhaps that’s what God is doing in us before He sends us outward.

Before we invade our schools, workplaces, and communities, He first prepares our hearts.

Because a generation that has only heard about God hesitates at the riverbank.

But a generation that has encountered the Living God steps into the water and watches Him make a way.

May we not live on borrowed testimonies. May we know Him for ourselves, follow His Presence, and take the step of obedience He is asking of us.
