On May 30, 2026, the St. Joseph Parish Church was filled with vibrant energy and youthful smiles as the Parish Youth Ministry successfully led the Childrenโ€™s Congress 2026. The event served as a grand thanksgiving and awarding ceremony for our beloved Floristas, recognizing their unwavering dedication and daily attendance throughout the month-long Flores de Mayo devotion.

Throughout May, these children gathered day after day to learn about the virtues of Mama Mary, pray the Rosary, and offer fresh blooms at the altar. To reward their faith and consistency, the Youth Ministry organized a day of spiritual fellowship, interactive activities, and special rewards sponsored by the Hermana Mayor for this yearโ€™s celebration.

The congress highlighted not only the blooming faith of the children but also the inspiring leadership of our parish youth, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep this beautiful Filipino tradition alive and meaningful for the next generation.

Following the 5:00 a.m. Mass, the Blessed Sacrament was carried in procession around the municipal plaza block. Afterwards, Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and Reposition were held inside the parish church.

This tradition reminds us that Jesus Christ, truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist as Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, lives and walks with us. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Elmer Macabare reminded the faithful of the spiritual nourishment that comes from receiving Jesus in Holy Communion. He also encouraged everyone to receive the Lord reverently by ensuring proper disposition and through regular examination of conscience.

On the Solemnity of Pentecost, May 25, the SJP Knights of the Altar celebrated a significant milestone as they formally received their albs, clothing themselves in readiness for their ministry at the altar.

Having successfully completed a year-length program of spiritual and liturgical formation, these young men were officially invested into the ministry. The sacred rite was presided over by our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Elmer D. Macabare.
