When life feels overwhelming and worry creeps in, we can turn to the same truth that anchors our faith — God is in control. Like Brother Bo reminds us, we do what we can with what we have, and then we place the rest in the hands of the One who holds all things. The Church has always taught us that peace is not the absence of problems, but the presence of God in the midst of them. Jesus himself said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled” — not because life will be easy, but because He walks with us through every storm. When we bring our burdens to the Lord in prayer, trust in His providence, and surrender what is beyond our control, we open our hearts to the deep and lasting peace that only He can give.

Life constantly reminds us that we are not in control — and that is actually a gift. When financial pressures mount and uncertainty creeps in, it can feel like we are wandering in our own wilderness. But God’s faithfulness is not a feeling; it is a fact written across salvation history. He provided for Israel, He sent His Son, and He continues to provide for us today. We are called to trust, to pray, and to move forward in faith, knowing that His plan is always greater than our fears.

It is so easy to fall into the trap of approaching God like He is a courtroom judge, tallying every sin and waiting to hand down a sentence. We go to Confession with our long lists, burdened by fear rather than moved by love. But the Church reminds us that God did not send His Son into the world to condemn us — He sent Him to save us. Jesus, our merciful Judge, sees our sins AND our contrition, our failures AND our loving acts. He longs to extend mercy far more than punishment. Let us not be so hard on ourselves that we forget the very heart of our faith: that we are loved unconditionally by a God whose mercy is without end.

How many times have we walked right past God’s guidance because we were too busy trusting our own judgment? Just as the Good Shepherd calls His sheep by name, Jesus calls each of us — but a stubborn heart makes it hard to hear Him. May we humble ourselves, set aside our pride, and follow where He leads, trusting that His way is always better than ours.

We didn’t come with grand gestures. We came with food, groceries, a short program, and small squares of colored paper.

The intermission numbers were simple — nothing elaborate, nothing rehearsed to perfection — but the laughter and energy in that room made it feel like a full celebration. And when we sat down together to fold our little origami hearts, something beautiful happened. Hands that had known so much hardship were now carefully creasing paper into the shape of love.

It was a small activity. But the smiles it brought were anything but small.

We left Halfway Homes that day with hearts fuller than when we arrived — reminded that you don’t need much to make someone feel seen and valued. Sometimes, all it takes is a warm meal, a cheerful performance, and a tiny paper heart folded just for them.

We hope they felt it — that they are not forgotten, that they are worthy of joy, and that someone took the time to show up for them.

Because sometimes, showing up is the blessing.

I try to fix everything on my own and forget that I am not meant to carry life alone. In my Catholic faith, I am reminded that God is my Maker who understands me better than anyone. Like a Good Shepherd, Jesus gently calls me back to Him, not to judge me, but to heal and restore me. When I let go and return to Him, I find the peace and strength my heart truly needs.

In today’s Gospel, I am reminded to listen closely to the voice of Jesus, my Good Shepherd. Just like a loyal dog recognizes and runs to its master, I ask myself if I truly recognize God’s presence in my daily life. Sometimes I get distracted, worried, or slow to respond, but the Lord is always calling me with love. As a Catholic, I am invited to trust Him more, to follow where He leads, and to stay close to Him in prayer and obedience, even in simple, ordinary moments.

Lord Jesus, help me to hear Your voice clearly and follow You with trust and love. Keep my heart close to You always. Amen.

It is hard to let go when I care deeply for the people I love. As a Catholic, I am reminded that God loves them more than I ever could, and His plans are always good. Even when I feel worried or unsure, I choose to trust that He is guiding them and watching over them. Letting go becomes an act of faith, where I place everything in God’s hands and believe in His perfect will.

Lord, I surrender my worries to You. Help me trust Your plan and rest in Your love each day. Amen.

We are not meant to walk our faith alone. God places people in our lives to guide us, encourage us, and bring us closer to Him. Like Paul who needed Ananias, we also need others to help us see God more clearly. In the same way, God can call us to be like Ananias—to reach out, to serve, and to love even when it feels hard. Through simple acts of kindness and presence, we become instruments of His grace.

Father, thank You for the people You send to guide me. Teach me to listen, to trust, and to serve with a willing heart. Use me to bring Your love to others. Amen

As a Catholic, I’m reminded that loving God also means loving people in real, practical ways—through kindness, respect, and responsibility for how my actions affect others. Being my “brother’s keeper” isn’t just a big idea; it shows in small daily choices—to be patient, to help, and to notice what’s happening around me. God invites me to live with a heart that truly sees and cares.

Lord, open my eyes and heart to the needs of others. Teach me to love not just in words but in action. Help me to be responsible, kind, and faithful in caring for those around me. Amen.

Even in ordinary moments, I can be His love to others.

Lord, use my simple life to share Your love. Let my words and actions gently lead others closer to You. Amen.

In our daily life, it’s so easy to chase things that make us feel good for a moment—likes, money, success, or recognition. But deep inside, there’s still a quiet longing that nothing in this world can fully fill. As Catholics, we are reminded that only Jesus, the Bread of Life, can truly satisfy our hearts. When we put Him first—through prayer, the Eucharist, and simple moments with Him—we begin to feel a deeper peace that lasts. Everything else fades, but His love remains steady and enough.

Lord Jesus, You are the Bread of Life. Teach me to seek You first above all things. Fill the emptiness in my heart with Your love, and help me remember that only You can truly satisfy my soul. Stay with me always. Amen.
