“Let your light shine before others.”

April 25, 2026, the Parish of Virgen de los Desamparados successfully conducted a seminar in preparation for the upcoming Flores de Mayo. The activity was led by our speaker, Queenlee Dublin, who shared valuable insights and inspiration with the participants, especially the youth who will take part in this meaningful celebration.

The highlight of the seminar was the introduction of a teaching method developed by the Archdiocesan Catechetical Ministry for summer youth catechists. This approach aims to make learning more engaging, meaningful, and easier to understand, while also strengthening the effectiveness of catechism in today’s generation.

This method is called “SUGA,” which means “light.” It is inspired by the teaching that Jesus is the Light of the World. Just like light that guides us through darkness, Jesus continues to illuminate our lives. Even in the darkest moments we may face, as long as we keep Him in our hearts, His light will shine upon us and lead us in the right path.

May this seminar not only equip us with knowledge but also inspire us to become instruments of God’s light—sharing faith, hope, and love with others, especially the younger generation.
