The Our Lady of Assumption Parish will once again joyfully proclaim VIVA PIT SEÑOR! Now on its 2nd year, the Parish will be featuring the Sinulog Festival Dance 💃🕺 on January 21, 2024 after the 6:00AM, 8:00AM, and 6:00PM Masses on Parish Ground! ⛪️

The Sinulog Festival 🥳 is an annual religious festival celebration in Cebu City held on every third Sunday of January and is the center of the Sto. Niño Catholic Celebrations in the Philippines. ✨

The parishioners are encouraged to bring their own Sto. Niño image and join us in dancing the Sinulog Dance.💃✨

Kids are also invited to participate and are encouraged to wear RED shirt. 👦👧 There will be games and surprises for the kids after the 8:00AM Mass. ❤️

ON THIS FIRST DAY OF MISA DE GALLO, the Jovenes Assumptionista of Our Lady of Assumption Parish joins the entire country in celebrating NATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2022.

The NATIONAL YOUTH DAY (NYD) is an event where the Philipine Church expresses, in every concrete ways her great love for the young. It is an occasion offered for young people to celebrate and deepen their faith, and a special moment of coming together as one body, united in a journey towards intimacy with Christ.

The NYD is celebrated annually in the dioceses and organizations on the 16th of December or on any day near it. Yearly, the ECY prepares the NYD conceptual plan, to suit the local context, depends largely on the creativity and possibilities of each diocese or organization.

THE NYD is also celebrated biennielly through a national gathering. It is usually on a date near December 16, and lasts for three days. When celebrated this way, the local host of the celebration assists the ECY in the planning and ex*****on of the NYD Events.

NYD activities are centered on the theme offered by the Holy Father for the yearly celebration of the World Youth Day (WYD). For the coming WYD2023 in Lisbon, Portugal, the theme offered by the Holy Father is "Mary arose and went with haste" taken from Luke 1:39.

HIMIG ASSUMPTIONISTA IS AMONG THE FINALISTS OF THE CITYWIDE CHRISTMAS CAROL COMPETITION HELD LAST DECEMBER 15, 2022 AT THE FRONTAGE OF ZAMBOANGA CITY HALL

CONGRATULATIONS Himig Assumptionista, the Music Ministry of the Our Lady of Assumption Parish for being one of the finalists in this year's Citywide Christmas Carol Competition!

Yes, it is your first time to join a city-level competition but still you showed and gave your best, not only for yourselves but for God Almighty to whom we continue to worship and pray through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Assumption.

May this experience continue to inspire you in the ministry of serving through music.
