Today, we're praying for help because we know God likes to help those in need, and for this reason, He has been called by many names in Scripture. Join us today as we pray to the same God who has helped so many.

Father in Heaven, we call on You for someone in need of help.

We call on Jehovah-Jireh (Gen 22, Matt 6), the Lord who provides, for those who need things: food and the like.

We call on Jehovah-Rapha (Exodus 15), the Lord who heals because there are those who need medical care and restoration.

We call on Jehovah-Shalom (Judges 6), the Lord who is peace, because many need help out of scary situations.

We call on the Shepherd (Gen 48, Psalm 23) to find and guide those out of dangerous places back to the safety of Your arms.

We call on Jehovah-Nissi (Exodus 17), the Lord of victory, because someone is fighting a battle today that needs You by their side.

We call on El Roi (Gen 16), the Lord who sees us, because too often, when we need help, we feel that no one sees us. You do.

Finally, as we pray, we call on and believe in El Shaddai (Gen 17), who is God Almighty. You. Thank You for making a way for us to pray to You, Father, through Your Son, Jesus, and through the Holy Spirit, our Helper.

We pray for help today, for so many, and our hearts would break completely for them except we know what actually helps.

Thank You for making a way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

When God Removes Someone, Trust His Purpose

“Sometimes God removes someone from your life not to punish you, but to protect the purpose He has for you.”

This idea can be understood biblically, but with an important balance: not every separation is necessarily something God directly caused. Sometimes people leave because of their own choices, circumstances, or the consequences of sin. Yet God can use even painful separation for our growth and His purpose.

Proverbs 13:20 — “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise.”
→ The people we allow close to us can influence our character and spiritual direction.
1 Corinthians 15:33 — “Evil communications corrupt good manners.”
→ Wrong influences can slowly pull us away from God’s principles.
Genesis 13:8–11 — Abraham and Lot separated peacefully because their possessions and herds had become too great for them to remain together.
→ Sometimes separation can prevent greater conflict and allow God’s purposes to unfold.
Romans 8:28 — God works “all things” together for good for those who love Him.
→ Even painful endings can become part of a greater lesson when surrendered to God.

Ellen G. White
The importance of choosing companions who strengthen our spiritual character. She warned that associations have a powerful influence on character and that Christians should not allow relationships to draw them away from God.

The principle is clear: God’s purpose for our lives should come before any human relationship. If a relationship consistently weakens our faith, compromises our principles, or pulls us away from obedience to God, we should have the courage to establish proper boundaries.

Sometimes what feels like rejection may become protection.
Sometimes what feels like loss may become redirection.
And sometimes God allows a door to close because He knows what we cannot yet see.

But don’t immediately say, “God removed that person because they were bad.” Instead, pray:

“Lord, if this separation is Your providence, help me accept it. If I made mistakes, help me learn from them. And if this relationship can still be restored according to Your will, give me wisdom to know how.”

Never let the loss of a person become the loss of your relationship with God.

What God wants to protect most is not merely your future—it is your character, your faith, and your eternal relationship with Him.

𝗣𝗮𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗱 𝗸𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗮?
