"Has your life ever become a mere checklist of prayers, asking, and waiting?
Are you in a waiting season?
Maybe you have submitted your application to so many places and companies waiting for them to call you back for employment.
Maybe you are waiting on your dream.
Maybe you are waiting on healing.
Maybe you are waiting on someone.
Maybe you are waiting on your calling.
Maybe you are waiting on a lost family member to come back to faith."
Is this your waiting season? To tell you my friends, oftentimes, during your season of waiting you'll mistook this season as a season of "questioning".
Questioning your life purpose.
Questioning your worth.
Questioning your ability.
Questioning your faith... and even questioning God.
But when you are waiting, God is working and is up to something.
Sometimes, you have to shift your focus and perspective during this season because there's a deep purpose in the waiting.
There are things we can only learn by having to wait. And if you're starting to question yourself and God, may you always remember that you are not being held back. You are not being kept from something. You are not waiting for nothing. But, you are actually being prepared for something. As a matter of fact, there's a lot of things you are not ready for. None of us would disagree that God is wiser than we are.
Sometimes, when we ask God and He doesn't give it to us when we want it, we start to question God. But because we stand that God is wiser than we are, therefore, whatever we are asking him about, surely, He knows the right and the best time for our prayers to happen. Truth is, if we get what we asked ahead of time, we know we won't enjoy it. But if we get it at the right time, we'll get to enjoy it for the rest of our lives.
Sometimes, we unconsciously get so fixated on the destination itself. We are too focused to where and what we want to be, when God, in fact, is more interested in the journey.
Friends, may we understand that there's a reason for waiting. And may we be found faithful in the midst of waiting. As the commandment of God is clear: be patient with all.
And as the scripture says;
"When the time is right I, the Lord will make it happen." [Isaiah 60 : 22]
