The Women of the Philippine Independent Church (WOPIC) – DWEC and the Clergy Spouses Organization gathered for an assembly and the election of the Southern and Northern Vicariate officers for the 2026–2029 term.Held at the Parish of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Antipolo, Pontivedra Negros Occidental

The gathering was followed by the distribution of goods through our Adopt-a-Family Program. We thank God for the opportunity to share His blessings with families in need, remembering that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference. May we continue to be faithful instruments of His love and generosity.

A Historic Independence Day Milestone: First DWEC Assembly and WOPIC-CSO Collaboration in IFI Diocese of La Castellana

🇵🇭 June 12, 2026: A Historic Day for the IFI Diocese of La Castellana

As the nation celebrated Philippine Independence Day, another significant milestone was written in the history of the IFI Diocese of La Castellana. On this memorable date, the WOPIC Sector of IFI La Castellana officially established its First Diocesan WOPIC Executive Council (DWEC), in inspiring collaboration with the Clergy Spouses Organization (CSO) - marking the first assembly of its kind in the Diocese and the first collaborative undertaking between the Diocesan WOPIC Ministry and clergy spouses.

More than a gathering of women, the event became a powerful testimony to the dedication, commitment, and leadership of empowered women servant leaders in the Church.

Guided by the theme, “Rooted to Rise: Strengthening Women in Faith, Ministry, and Leadership,” participants embraced the call to deepen their understanding of the WOPIC Ministry while nurturing their capacity to lead with faith, compassion, and purpose.

The educational objectives of the assembly were successfully achieved through the insightful and reflective Bible Theological Reflection delivered by Bp. Jonash A. Joyohoy and the comprehensive lecture-training workshop on the Basic WOPIC Orientation Course facilitated by Mrs. Hazel Maglinte-Joyohoy. These learning sessions enriched participants with a stronger foundation for ministry, leadership, and service.

The Business Session was conducted with active participation and meaningful engagement from all delegates present. Through collaborative discussions, inputs, and resolutions, the assembly successfully met its objectives, resulting in significant actions and decisions that will strengthen and advance the WOPIC Ministry within the Diocese.

This historic gathering stands as a testament to the power of unity, faith, and shared leadership. It celebrates women who continue to rise as servant leaders, rooted in their faith and committed to the mission of the Church.

Congratulations to the First Diocesan WOPIC Executive Council (DWEC) of IFI La Castellana and the inclusion Clergy Spouses Organization (CSO) La Castellana in the sectoral ministry!

May this milestone inspire future generations of women leaders to serve with courage, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

The WOPIC of all of the Dioceses of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente gathered altogether to witness and be part of this momentous event.
This WOPIC convention has been such a meaningful experience for the WOPIC of the Diocese. From the powerful messages to the warm fellowship, every moment reminded of God’s love and purpose. Truly grateful for the opportunity to grow in faith and be surrounded by people who share the same devotion.
Standing among believers, lifting one voice in faith, and feeling God’s presence. One faith, one love, one service!
