Part 2:

Banaba, Brgy. Tagumpay, So. Malpoc, Brgy.

In a spirit of thanksgiving, the Blessing and Dedication of the newly built Formation Center of Saint Augustine Parish, Coron was solemnly led by Most Rev. Bishop Broderick S. Pabillo, together with our Parochial Priest-in-Charge, Rev. Fr. Vicente Q. Badajos Jr.

Through this sacred rite, the Church entrusts this new facility to the Lordโ€”praying that it may become a place of faith formation, spiritual growth, and pastoral training, where future servants and leaders of the community may be nurtured in discipleship and mission.

May this Formation Center stand as a lasting sign of Godโ€™s blessing, guiding our parish in building a stronger and more faithful Church.

The first Holy Mass in celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ was presided over by Most Rev. Broderick S. Pabillo, D.D., together with our Parochial Priest-in-Charge, Rev. Fr. Vicente Q. Badajos Jr.

Easter Sunday is the heart of the Christian faithโ€”proclaiming Christโ€™s victory over sin and death. It marks the beginning of the Easter Season, a joyful time when the Church celebrates the new life we receive through the Risen Lord.

Christ is risen! Alleluia! โœจ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

In the joyful celebration of the Salubong, we witness the beautiful encounter of the Risen Christ and His Blessed Mother, a moment where sorrow turns into joy, and darkness into light.

This sacred tradition reminds us that after every suffering comes hope, and after the Cross comes Resurrection.

May this moment renew our faith and fill our hearts with the joy of Christโ€™s victory.

Easter Vigil | The Service of Light
April 04 | 6:30 PM

In the stillness of the night, the Church gathered in darkness to begin the Easter Vigil, the Mother of all Vigils, as we awaited the triumph of Christโ€™s Resurrection.

From the blessing of the new fire, the Paschal Candleโ€”the symbol of the Risen Christ, the Light of the Worldโ€”was solemnly lit. Guided by its flame, the faithful processed into the church, proclaiming: โ€œChrist our Light.โ€

Presided over by Rev. Fr. Vicente Q. Badajos Jr., this sacred celebration reminded us that no darkness is greater than the light of Christ.

During the Vigil, the community also took part in the Renewal of Baptismal Promises, where we renounced sin and professed our faith once againโ€”renewing our identity as Godโ€™s people and recommitting ourselves to live as children of the light.

Christ is risen, truly He is risen! Alleluia! โœจ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

Alleluia! Alleluia! The Lord is risen!

This is the day that the Lord has made, let is rejoice and be glad, alleluia.

On this Easter morning, our hearts are full of joy because Christ, our Savior and Redeemer is risen!

The triumphant Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is the very foundation of our faith. Christ through his passion, death and resurrection has conquered sin and death and through Him and in Him, we, faithful believers, have gained access to everlasting life. By His cross and Resurrection, we are saved! From a life of darkness, we enter into the Light of the Lord.

On this sacred day of silence, the faithful gather in prayer as the Church commemorates the burial of our Lord Jesus Christ. In stillness and hope, we await the Light of the Resurrection.

Holy Saturday is a unique day in the liturgical year: the Church does not celebrate the Holy Mass during the day, and the tabernacle remains empty, reminding the faithful that Christ has truly died and rests in the tomb. It is a day of quiet waiting, prayer, and reflection as we meditate on the Lordโ€™s saving sacrifice.

Traditionally, the Church also remembers Christโ€™s descent to the dead, proclaiming that even in death, the Lord brings hope and salvation. The altar remains bare, and the atmosphere of the church reflects mourning, silence, and expectation.

As night falls, the faithful prepare for the Easter Vigil, the greatest and most solemn celebration of the Church, where the Paschal Candle is blessed and litโ€”symbolizing Christ as the Light of the Worldโ€”followed by the proclamation of the Resurrection.

In silence, we waitโ€ฆ for the victory of life over death.
