|SHAPES OF LOVE : A GESTURE OF HEART AND CONNECTION

As the final heartwarming segment of our YouthFilmstastic Film Showing and Awarding Night, the Parish Youth Ministry of San Roque Parish organized the Shapes of Love activity. A deeply meaningful and spiritually enriching initiative designed to foster sincere connection, heartfelt expression, and mutual affirmation among the youth. This special moment followed the celebration of our filmmakers’ talents, closing the evening not with awards alone, but with an opportunity to honor, encourage, and love one another in the spirit of Christ.

Each shape chosen for this activity carries a profound and intentional message, serving as a tangible symbol of the values we seek to embody and share:

🔵 Circle — I care about you
⭐ Star — Peace be with you
❤️ Heart — I love you
🟦 Square — I am sorry
🔺 Triangle — You are enough

In a truly memorable and significant moment during the activity, our esteemed PYCC President, Jasmine Shane Barellano, personally presented triangle shapes to every youth present. As she distributed these triangles, she offered a powerful and moving remark to each one the triangle shape symbolizes "You are enough." This special gesture was not merely an act of giving; it was a heartfelt affirmation of the inherent worth, dignity, and value of every young person in our community. It served as a beautiful reminder that we are sufficient, worthy, and beloved exactly as we are created in the image and likeness of God, and held with infinite love in His hands. Her words and actions resonated deeply, leaving a lasting impression of encouragement, acceptance, and grace upon all those present.

Following this special moment, the youth were invited to exchange the remaining shapes with one another presenting circles, stars, hearts, and squares to the individuals they wished to reach with their respective messages. Whether expressing care, extending peace, declaring love, seeking forgiveness, or offering an apology, each exchange became a sacred and sincere act of communication. Through these simple yet powerful gestures, barriers were broken, hearts were opened, and bonds of friendship and faith were strengthened. The activity created a safe and welcoming space where the youth could speak what is often left unspoken, offering healing, understanding, and love to one another in the spirit of Christ.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”
— 1 Corinthians 16:14

May the messages carried by these shapes remain forever in our hearts. May we always remember that we are cared for, loved, forgiven, and truly enough not by our own merits, but by the grace and love of God. And may we continue to share these truths generously with everyone we meet, building up one another in faith and love.

Parish Youth Ministry — Advance Celebration of the Birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Parish Youth Ministry of San Roque Parish reverently gathered for Makalipang to present Halad sa Puti nga Kandila alang kang Maria. A sacred offering of white candles dedicated to our Blessed Mother, in joyful anticipation of her birthday.

This act of devotion stands as a humble tribute of our faith and love. As we offer these candles, we symbolically present our hearts, our prayers, and our lives to the Mother of our Lord. May the light of each candle represent our sincere desire to walk always in the grace and guidance she intercedes for us.

We honor her who said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”
— Luke 1:46–47

May this offering be pleasing to her, and may her maternal protection and blessings descend upon our youth, our parish, and all our families.

Makalipang for the month of August 2026

Throughout the blessed month of August 2026, the Parish Youth Ministry in faithful fulfillment of our Makalipang ministry journeyed together with the youth of Cluster 4 and Cluster 5 to bring prayer, worship, and spiritual fellowship to our beloved community chapels: Puso Chapel, Ibabao Tumoy Chapel, and Ibabao Ylaya Chapel.

This meaningful gathering was guided by our dedicated PYCC Worship Officers, who faithfully organized, facilitated, and led the gathered youth in sacred liturgical celebrations, prayer services, and moments of reflection within each chapel. It was a grace filled opportunity for our young people to gather not merely as separate clusters, but as one unified family in Christ right in the very heart of their own communities, where faith is lived and passed on from generation to generation.

By visiting these chapels, we sought to strengthen the spiritual bonds between the parish and its faithful in every barangay, to acknowledge and honor the sacredness of these local houses of prayer, and to remind one another that the Church is alive and present in every corner of our parish. Through hymns, prayers, and the proclamation of God’s word, we offered our humble service and devotion, asking God to bless our communities, protect our families, and keep our youth always rooted in faith, hope, and charity.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Almighty God for the grace and guidance throughout this ministry; to our PYCC Worship Officers for their tireless dedication and reverent leadership; to the youth of Cluster 4 and Cluster 5 for their willing hearts, active participation, and faithful presence. May this humble service bear abundant spiritual fruit in our lives and in our parish, as we continue to grow in love of God and neighbor, hand in hand, faith in faith.

"Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
— Matthew 5:16
