DO YOU WANT TO BE SAVED FROM THE WRATH TO COME?
Below bible verse says it is the great and first commandment. But people who do not truly know God neglect this great and first commandment and insist on their own love for a neighbor, even if their definition of neighbor's love opposes loving God with their all by obeying His commandments. Another thing that people neglect in this commandment is when they think they are doing God a favor by going to church or doing religious activities but neglect what the Lord said in His words which is in the bible.
God's standard of righteousness is perfection. God's answer to the question "What must I do to be saved" is that you must perfectly love Him. The question is "Have you loved God perfectly?" Then if not, like I do (who doesn't love the Lord perfectly), you are heading for hell, eternal fire. But God made a way to be saved. It is always God who initiates, even in the old testament. He sent His beloved Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross as the perfect acceptable sacrifice by the Father or payment for the sins of those who would believe Him. As it says in John 3, those who do not believe are ALREADY condemned (sa bisaya pa, condemned na daan, padung na sa impyerno daan), but those who believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life. He bore our sins on the cross for those who believe and would believe and be made righteous because of Him (2 Corinthians 5:21) and be able to do righteous things through the Holy Spirit given to those who believe. By saying this, it means He doesn't see your sins anymore, they are washed clean by His blood, and see Christ who is righteous in you, with the seal of His Holy Spirit so you can now enter heaven.
CLOSING QUESTION: After reading this, do you want to put your faith in Jesus' work on the cross for you and repent of your sins (meaning turn from them) or do you still want to go against His way and continue to do futile good works that are unacceptable to God (Isaiah 64:6)?
