“THE CHURCH-SHAPED LIFE”

Acts 2:42–47

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

III. The church gathers daily — v.46
IV. The church grows as a family — v.47

We are the church, not just because we gather in a building, but because we are a people who were broken and saved by Jesus. As the church, we grow together through God’s Word, prayer, fellowship, and by caring for one another. We gather daily and have similarities that reflects how Jesus lived, our faith should be seen in how we love those around us. When we live as one body centered on Christ, His love becomes visible through our lives and can lead others closer to Him.

‎(Ephesians 2:8-10)

‎I. SAVED BY GRACE - NOT OUR OWN DOING.
‎•Salvation begins with grace received through faith, not effort produced by us.
‎II. SAVED SO NO ONE MAY BOAST.
‎•Grace removes every ground for pride, leaving only room for gratitude.
‎III. SAVED FOR GOOD WORKS HIS WORKMANSHIP.
‎•Grace leads to purpose - good works God prepared beforehand for us to walk in.

‎I. GRACE SAVES US — v.11
‎God's grace has appeared, bringing salvation.
‎II. GRACE TRAINS US — v.12
Grace doesn't merely forgive our past. It teaches us how to live now:
‎III. GRACE CHANGES WHAT WE LOOK FOR — v.13
‎We live in the present while waiting for the blessed hope—the appearing of Jesus Christ.
‎IV. GRACE CREATES A PEOPLE FOR GOD — v.14
Christ redeemed us “to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

‎Grace doesn't produce passive Christians. Grace trains us to become people who belong to Christ and live differently because we belong to Him.

Celebrating 2 years of God’s faithfulness and goodness. This celebration is not only a reminder of how far we have come, but also of how faithful God has been every step of the way. To God be the glory!

God’s love should continue to flow through us and reach those around us. Giving and serving others is one way we can show the love we have received from Jesus, and one way to show how we love God is through our neighbors. As we serve others with love, we reflect His light and Grace in our lives.

Matthew 22:37-39 ESV
[37] And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. [38] This is the great and first commandment. [39] And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

‎I. HEARING THE WORD - WE MUST TRULY LISTEN.
‎• God's Word must first be genuinely heard, not simply attended to.
‎II. ACCEPTING THE WORD - WE MUST LET IT TAKE ROOT.
‎• Hearing must become acceptance, allowing God's Word to rearrange something in our lives.
‎III. BEARING FRUIT - THE WORD SHOULD PRODUCE SOMETHING.
‎• When God's Word takes root, it eventually produces visible fruit through our lives

‎GENESIS 50:19-21 ESV
‎[19] But Joseph said to them, “Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? [20] As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. [21] So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones.” Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.
‎
‎- This reminds us to forgive and trust God even when bad things happen to us. Like Joseph, we should choose not to take revenge but to do good. Sometimes, the struggles we go through can be used by God to make us a blessing to others.
‎
‎ACTS 4:12 NIV
‎[12] Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
‎
- This verse reminds me to put my trust in Jesus because He is the one who gives true salvation and hope. It encourages me to follow Him and keep my faith in Him, especially during difficult times.

Galatians 6:1-5 ESV
[1] Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. [2] Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. [3] For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. [4] But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. [5] For each will have to bear his own load.

As Christians, we should check on and help our fellow believers and neighbors, but before looking at others, we must first examine ourselves. Everyone carries different burdens, so we should not judge or compare. We must also recognize our own limitations because we cannot give what we do not have. Before that we should consult and look to Jesus, and pray for His wisdom and guidance before helping others
