The Youth Catechetical Ministry of Santuario de la Inmaculada Concepcion conducted the Sunday catechism class for children during the Third Mass. The activity focused on providing the children with an opportunity to learn and understand the basic teachings of the Catholic faith through the guidance and instruction of the youth.
The session was led and assisted by the youth members who took responsibility for teaching and guiding the children throughout the catechism class. Bianca, Mary Rose, Queenie, Andrey, Eris, Kiefer, Mathew, Rhoniel, Karl, Lally, Ranee, and Patricia actively participated in the session, assisting the children and helping them follow and understand the catechetical lesson.
During the class, the youth catechists taught the children about catechism and guided them throughout the discussion. The children were given the opportunity to listen and learn the teachings presented by the youth. The session was conducted in a manner appropriate for the young participants, allowing them to engage with the lesson while developing a better understanding of their Catholic faith.
Aside from the catechetical lesson, the children also participated in a coloring activity featuring different images of the saints. Through this activity, the children were introduced to various representations of the saints while being given an opportunity to express their creativity. The coloring activity also served as an additional way to make the catechism session engaging and meaningful for the children.
The Sunday catechism class demonstrated the active involvement of the youth in assisting with the faith formation of the younger members of the parish. Through teaching, guiding, and accompanying the children during the session, the youth catechists contributed to a meaningful catechetical experience. The activity reflects the continued service of the Youth Catechetical Ministry in helping children learn about the Catholic faith through both catechetical instruction and engaging activities.
