PGC Breaking Down the News: Ano ang koneksyon nila?

​“Sapagkat walang nakatago na hindi mahahayag...” — Lucas 8:17 📖⚖️

​Maraming balita ang lumalabas tungkol sa "18 ex-Marines," kay Zaldy Co, at sa mga matataas na opisyal ng ating bansa.

Nakakalito, 'di ba? Heto ang isang simple at malinaw na summary para sa bawat Ka-PGC:

​1. Ang Pinagmulan: Zaldy Co
​Si Zaldy Co ay isang construction magnate at dating Chairman ng House Appropriations Committee. Siya ang itinuturing na "provider" sa kwentong ito.

​Ang Allegasyon: Ginamit diumano ang mga "ghost" flood control projects para makakuha ng bilyon-bilyong kickbacks.

​2. Ang Tulay: Martin Romualdez
​Si Martin Romualdez (dating House Speaker) ay pinsan ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.

​Koneksyon kay Zaldy Co: Siya ang nagtalaga kay Co sa makapangyarihang Appropriations Committee.
​Ang Allegasyon: Ayon sa mga testigo, si Romualdez ang tumanggap ng maraming maleta ng pera mula kay Co bilang bahagi ng hatian sa budget.

​3. Ang "Utak": Pangulong Marcos Jr.
​Bilang Chief Executive, siya ang nasa tuktok ng pamahalaan.
​Koneksyon: Siya ang pinuno ng administrasyon at kamag-anak ni Romualdez.

​Ang Allegasyon: Sa press conference noong Feb 24, binanggit ng mga testigo na ang Pangulo ang "brain" o pasimuno sa mga budget insertions na nagkakahalaga ng bilyon-bilyon.

​4. Ang Mga Saksi: Ang "18 ex-Marines"
​Sila ang mga dating security at logistics personnel ni Zaldy Co.

​Ang Papel Nila: Sila ang nag-claim na sila mismo ang nag-deliver ng mga maleta (may laman daw na ₱48 Million bawat isa) sa mga bahay ni Romualdez at sa residence ng Pangulo (41 Forbes at Ilocos).
​Ang Twist: Sabi ng Philippine Navy, 4 sa kanila ay hindi totoong Marines, at ang karamihan ay "dishonorably discharged" o natanggal sa serbisyo dahil sa bad record.

​💡 Ang PGC View (The Big Picture):
​Ano ang dapat nating gawin bilang mga Kristiyanong mamamayan?

​Huwag agad maniwala: May mga butas sa kwento ng mga testigo (ayon sa Navy), pero seryoso ang mga dokumentong hawak ng Ombudsman.

​Humingi ng Accountability: Ang pera ng bayan ay dapat napunta sa flood control, hindi sa maleta.

​Ipanalangin ang Katotohanan: Ipanalangin natin na ang Office of the Ombudsman ay hindi matakot na ilabas ang totoo, kahit sino pa ang masagasaan.

[Ang Kristiyano bilang Mamamayan: Dual Citizenship] 📖🇵🇭

​Naniniwala tayo na ang ating real home ay sa Langit, pero hindi ibig sabihin nito ay wala na tayong p**i sa ating bayan dito sa lupa. Bilang mga followers ni Christ, we have a "Dual Citizenship."

​Hindi choice ang pagiging Maka-Dios at Maka-Bayan—it's a package deal! 🤝

​🔦 Maging Asin at Ilaw: Hindi lang ito sa loob ng simbahan.
Ang pagiging "Asin" ay ang pagpigil sa corruption sa ating paligid.
Ang pagiging "Ilaw" ay ang pagpap**ita ng transparency at honesty kahit walang nakatingin.

⚖️ Responsibilidad natin: Ang pagboto nang tama, pagbabayad ng tax, at paghingi ng accountability sa mga leaders ay bahagi ng ating worship sa Dios.

​Huwag nating iwan ang ating pananampalataya sa pintuan ng Church. Dalhin natin ang liwanag ni Christ sa bawat aspeto ng ating lipunan.
